They posted the A-tier schedule on the PDGA site, April 22-24. Will be interesting to see what HB does with this event this year. I have heard that Wha Bah's is closed for good, and also heard that they are trying to put a couple new courses in the ground. Hopefully, I will be able to attend again this year.

Mandabear and I will be there, probably joebo again too and maybe a couple others, we could have a van full this year camping out at the back corner of the KOA. This will be my fifth year and Amanda's third, always a good time!!

I finally joined the PDGA and I'm hoping to join up for this event as I've heard so many good things. What would you recommend for a first-time attendee? I know that registration is tight but other than getting into the tournament, do you veterans have any words of wisdom on how to make the most of this tourney? Thanks ahead of time. I hope to see you out there!

What's the story with wag bahs... I always thought it was a great 'home base' for the fly mart, drinks, breakfast...

Give this a watch, it explains it all.

Apparently now there's a sign on the door that says "closed for remodeling" maybe he's changing it back to the way it was. I think it's crazy that they took out everything that he was passionate about it - obviously he doesn't have much passion left in him any more, it used to have his personal touch on decor and such, then they made it so impersonal and stark...

I'm a local so I can't really help you as far as lodging. However

Try to get here for the whole week. It really is an experience with all of the events going on. Not only can you play your courses and get ready for the tourney, but you can meet a lot of people from all over and have a good time

Don't let the wind get in your head. It's not as bad as everybody makes it out to be. It's no windier here than a lot of places.

Please don't b!tch about how the tournament is run... HB has run it the past few years and pretty much gotten the process down. There are a lot of us (myself included) that put a lot of work into this tournament. HB himself is working months in advance. It is hard to run an event with 700 competitors that encompasses an entire week. Things are going to happen. But for every negative there will be plenty of positives about the event.

Don't know if this is actually how it will be but it looks as if the courses will be shuffled next year...

E - INTERMEDIATE MEN (Miller, Hobson, Franklin, Phil Moore)
F - INTERMEDIATE MEN

G - RECREATIONAL MEN (Lovers, White, Challybeate, Kereiakes)
H - RECREATIONAL MEN
I - RECREATIONAL MEN

W - All women and Sr.GM MEN (Lovers, Hobson, Franklin, Griffin)

I don't think thats entirely possible, Yakis is a course for 5 pools

Well if you look back at my first post, I heard they were trying to build two new courses, so I don't think this will be the final list. Right now there are 180 tee sponsorships available so that is ten courses.

Those courses are not planned and not likely to happen

We already have ten courses. Yakis, lovers, bgtech, Phil moore, Preston, basil, hobson, Ephraim, Franklin, chaly

agree with get there on tuesday and spend all week there.

disagree that the wind it just like everywhere else. Its not.

And feel free to bit%^ about whatever you want to. Telling someone they can't bit$% is comical. however don't bit%$^ to just be bit()&ing, keep in mind this is a tall task to please some 700 people so its not going to be perfect. I have played here the last two years and it really is worth the money and experience.

constructive criticism is a lot different than b!tching. b!tching is not constructive at all and just serves to sour attitudes. criticism with the intent to help, especially when coupled with a potential solution, is obviously welcome.

I've played here for over 7 years. I've played a lot of different places. The wind is no worse here than other places. It may pick up a little in April and May but not by much.

I think the legendary "Blowing Green" wind memories come from so many folks experiencing the Ephram White and Phil Moore courses, OB, and at least one really windy day out there. It scars some of us for life.

But I have to admit, 3/4ths of the courses, and 3/4ths of the times I've played this event, it really wasn't that bad!

Now, I've really enjoyed BG Ams four times now. Wish I could hand pick the courses for my divisions to suit my game, but they're chosen to test your mettle and variety of skill sets, so HB knows what he's doing there...

Fair enough
