My buddies and I are getting together to drink some beer and watch disc golf. Most of them play casually but enjoy the sport. I'm obviously obsessed or I wouldn't be on here. I have watched most of the tournaments on youtube for the past two years, especially if it is on jomez, central coast disc golf, or the disc golf pro tour channel.

What do you think has been the most exciting tournament of the past few years?

Try to be specific if there is a round in particular that you liked. If you have more than one favorite that is fine. Also if there isn't good footage I'm not interested.

Thanks for your input!

I've watched a bunch of good tournaments that I don't remember which was which ...

Here are some sessions that I remember being fun and exciting to watch:

- Champs vs. Chumps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psAYzcVoDlg (The part with Johnny Disc Golf!)

- The Starter Pack Challenge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mk0-E2eFP8E (Sexton goes impressingly in lead on the first holes.)

- Simon wins Konopiste Open 2016 after Playoffs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7FphhJKWzg

- Old Worlds with Climo and Schultz

The former two are fun matches, of course.

Ehh. those are good but if you're gonna go with a fun round, then Battle of the Eras is the one. Sexton just kills me during that vid...

Was it Utah Open that Anthon and Ricky were putting like beasts down the stretch and then Ricky aced the last hole? The Jerm/Conrad at Texas and Conrad/Mcbeth at Idlewild were good too...

I tend to be more excited about big tournaments that are played on courses that I've played and know fairly well. It helps put in perspective how good some of these guys/girls are.

The Jomez produced Green Mountain tourney coverage was pretty incredible and probably my favorite so far. Jerm/Nate on the mics and some stellar disc golf in the woods. Production was top notch and the golf was even better.

It was good seeing Nate Doss win a major tournament again. It's impressive seeing guys like Ricky and Paul win by 10+ strokes over second place, but it's nice seeing someone else win too.

I haven't watched too many tournaments on YouTube yet, but I'd say my favorite so far was the Vibram Open, just because of Barsby's ace on hole 5. I've been impressed with all of Jomez's coverage of the DGPT so far though. Big Sexy commentary FTW!

2015 Memorial - Playoff between Jerm and McBeth. McBeth's bag was stolen out of his truck and he was playing new/borrowed discs.

USDGC has had its moments, but nothing tops the Portland Worlds final 9+. My favorite moment is watching Will's reaction to Paul's huge putt in the playoff and then seeing him and other pros race to the next hole.

I HATE watching tourney vids (ADD) but I can watch this video all day long. So many climactic moments in the playoff!!!

Starter pack challenges, always funny to watch lol.

All jokes aside I find most high rated tournaments fun to watch because they can be really intense.

Rick v Nate the Majestic

I watched that on my computer live, and I refuse to watch it again because it would probably make me cry. Such a great finish though for sure.

My vote would be the 2014 World's playoff/final 9. Probably going to go down as the best finish to a world championship ever, especially considering the dominance of the two since 2012.

European Open this year was the most exciting and high level IMO, right down to the last hole.
