Discgolfer Magazine is in trash same day as receipt.

Full disclosure I still have all my copies of Disc Golf World News, Flying Disc Magazine, Disc Golf Journal.

Am I wrong.

Uhhhhhhhhh.......

Maybe they are looking for a little help. Perhaps you could save the magazine from your trash bin, contact them and either join the team, suggest some improvements or contribute in some positive manner?

Disc golf is a game of volunteerism. The only current path to success is to get off the sidelines and get involved.

Full disclosure. It sits in the magazine rack in the master bathroom for a couple weeks, as I read the articles. Certainly beats taking a phone (you know the device I put to my face later) into the bathroom for reading. :gross::gross:

IBL........ I have my issues with the content, and I think printing it is nothing more than a ego trip for board members (should just be a .pdf download instead) but with that said it would certainly be better off in someone's hands than your trash can. Maybe a local club member, etc.

I sure don't see everyone being a fan, but random comments like "is nothing more than a ego trip for board members", seems to miss the mark for me. Especially from such a fan of the ego driven, pro player, Youtube content. Maybe you are part of the inner board circle, leaving me without your insight?

I don't agree with the "everything has to be electronic" crowd. I don't own a cell phone and strive to spend as little time in front of a computer as I can. (says the guy replying on a laptop, on a disc golf site). I enjoy magazines. I still get Men Health, Rolling Stone, Sports Illustrated. *Thanks to my Mom for the Christmas gifts, of the above.

Geeze RU, how many people RU going to scold on this thread?

The PDGA is bound to do things that aren't useful to members---just, different things to different members. I don't follow the top pros, but the PDGA keeps promoting & supporting them. Someone else might never visit the museum, and not care that the PDGA maintains it. Many pros (and some ams) could do without a ratings system. And so on.

I like the magazine. I like it much more than I liked its predecessors. If you don't, fine, just enjoy the activities of the organization that suit you better.

Perhaps a foreign language version would be a better fit for you.

Hindi perhaps?

Yawn. I was hoping for a better rant.

There was a pretty good article about our local club in the Summer 2012 issue. I even got my picture in there too, lol. That said, I think that's the only issue I've ever looked at cover to cover.

The article about Don Shinn was pretty good. A lot of the articles are often written in a very opinion driven method that would have gotten me docked points in journalism school but there are some fun reads.

Need a PDF option though, I don't need the paper.
