2023 Portland Open

Kristin's figured it out:
Shoot the hot round every day.
Win tournament.
Repeat as desired.

Don't get me wrong: She's simply great. But she makes so few mistakes, she makes the game look too easy. There's something about watching players scramble to save par, or seeing players battle for the lead that makes for better "content."

< Finds a way to complain about the most dominant player in the game today. :\

I'm one that enjoys watching KT throw a disc - I love how she makes it look so easy. This year I've become addicted to watching FPO every week thanks to her. Her calm, laid back, chill attitude while she's playing is a treat to watch. She really seems like an awesome person all the way around.

Would have been fun with the two 5x on the last days lead card vs the current World champ. .
Missy got the spot after a strange OB call in R2. .she got a spot near the basket, she should have thrown from the DZ

Scoggins has been impressive this year, consistently playing her way into the the top 5. Her "worst" outings in FPO have been finish 15th at Austin, and 11th in Nashville.

Another ho hum win for Kristin despite her 'bad' round, missing more putts today than the rest of the year combined it seemed. Afterwards she was upset like she shot +18 bogey golf or something, not a respectable -4.
Great -10 round by Scoggins, that was cool to see.

I like that she was upset after the round, shows that she cares. .
She missed 4 C1x putts, all for birdy. . in a big lead i think its easy to think "i dont NEED to get this one, but dont airball it long" and then put the putt low. . .i think all of her missed putt was a hair low . . .if she makes even half of those putts it´s a great round.

But Kristin has had a few "bad" last rounds when she had the lead. .

JK an Ohn tied for 3rd. . .LOVE that. but at the same time its a little strange that they can keep up and beat the 20-30y olds in a sport like this

Sai is here to stay at the top. .love her "anti Conrad runup"

Congrats to Hammes. Solid tournament. At the onset of the final round I immediately had two possible winners in mind: him or Isaac. Ellis made things interesting on the back nine - his time will come.

That spit out on 15(?) was a gut punch, and Gossage's approach on 18 was way too careful.

Missed the spit out, but AG was way too careful with his upshots on 18 and the playoff hole.

As they were walking up 18 (with AG up by 1), DGN played the replay of last year, Simon and GG both throwing their upshots OB, Simon did hold on to win.
This year, AH threw OB (as did Ellis) and AG stayed in, but a little too safe. So, AH, with a penalty stroke, picks up a stroke and ties it!! Crazy!!

That spitout was terrible, and it's even worse that it lead to him losing. It was dead center, nice angle, not too high or anything, just went straight back out.

And it was on hole 16.

That was probably the worst spit-out I've seen, especially considering the circumstances and the result.

The next closest one I can remember is Barsby spitting out on a throw-in during an intense battle at the PCS Sula Open. But that was throw-in spitout though, not quite the same, also Barsby still took it down.
