Post Your Personal DG Milestones

350' foot ace.

Driving over 500'. Even though it was 80+ feet downhill.

Shooting a 49 at Falling Creek Park.

Shooting a 40 at Peak's View park.

Yesterday was a good disc golf day, Played 31 holes. I parred Riverside in St. Cloud, felt good about that. One under at River's edge didn't feel very impressive, but then I hit Northside in Sartell, I shot a -5 with six birdies and one bogey, that is my best round ever on a 12 hole course. Granted it's a fairly short course, though very technical, wooded and accuracy is highly rewarded :D. It was nearly a "putter round" I threw a driver on holes 1,3, and 8 and a stingray on hole 5, otherwise every other shot was with my dart, didn't plan it that way, just happened to be the disc that I reached for on every shot.

In the last week I won more merchandise because of my place and ring of fire than the rest of my tournys combined then wednesday I hit my first money ace (second ace of week) and won the doubles took home 105 Im feeling really good about my game lately.

I shot my highest rated round today..........unofficially a 1083 and it was at a C-tier no less.

Making my first MA2 lead card at the Greater Milwaukee Open a couple weeks back (field of 50+)... 934 rated round is my best so far, I believe... Now if only I hadn't slipped several spots after the second round!

Goals for 2010:

- 900 rating (first rating coming in 10 days, ohhh the excitement!)
- better driving accuracy, especially on tunnels
- better putting around 25-35 feet
- 100 courses played (about 40 to go)
- 10 states played (currently at 7)
- DG road trip to Highbridge, WI courses
- DG road trip into Ontario, maybe points further east/northeast into Canada

Juan,

I've always thought that 80 courses played in 10 states is the mark of a seasoned disc golfer.

I think it's highly possible, but it might be a reach. I want to be at 50 played in 10 states by the end of the year. I'm at 36 played in 8 states now. It's possible, I'm just going to have reach for it. I've played all of connecting states surrounding me.

My goal this summer is to get up to Flip City at least once, maybe a couple of times.

I'd also find it really cool to play with a couple of people from the site, particularly in the Milwaukee area, which I head up to fairly regularly.

Also, to continue working with our park department to improve/expand/add courses in the county.

My first ace would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath.

Flip City. Check.

DGCR Encounters: Moto DJ, Trashthrasher, Terry C, Valkyrie, Mambrose, discpicable, and han_tzu (whom I randomly encountered at Rogers Lakewood.) Check.

New park slated for Red Mill Park in spring '11. Supposedly we're getting better tees at Creek Ridge, as well as a couple other minor tweaks. Check.

1st ace. Dammit. :(

1) On hold with my broken-ness, my goal now is to improve right-handed
2) Check, 2nd one in planning]
3) Next month
4) Now lets say an 800 rated round using off-hand.

1) Shooting meh golf still...on local courses I shoot over 800 rated, on new courses closer to 700...courses that require distance still kill me
2) 2nd one down, have 2 more coming
3) 2 weeks away, sounds like it is going to be huge and I have a crazy whack funky plan for next year that I will start funding after the tournament
4) Yeah...right around 800 rated.

New goals:

1) Get at least a card of women at 3 local tournaments after mine
2) Bring at least another 12 women into the sport
3) Play 5 new courses over the summer
4) Help my wife get her rating into the 700s.

recently, after 4 bogeys on front 9 at Golden Gate I pulled it together to 5 birdies on the back (thanks to some easy par 4's) ... ended with a 1 under. Pretty good for legit course like that

usually just looking to keep par throughout, so when I was able to do that in new course playing alone very happy with my efforts

you were alone it didnt happen:D

I've managed to get my first two aces within a month of each other, so that milestone is out the window.

I guess my goal for the year is 135+ courses in 25 states. I'm sitting at 117/19 right now. I have a September trip planned that'll take me from Rhode Island to Maine, so hopefully I'll get to post here at the end of the year about how I knocked that out.

I'm slowly improving, but that's never been a goal for me. I'm more about getting outside, away from everything, and having a good time. I'm thankful for the opportunity to have a course kick my butt.

^ haha I should expect that **** cause I say it to people all the time even told a homie that a close ace, if made alone, would not have gone counted by me...

so at least true like that ... gonna at least keep score when playing at great course for first time whether alone or not

Be able to play without having severe pain afterward...yick. (Don't know about making this one...)

Deuce #18 at Charlie Vettiner DGC (nearly did a few weeks ago).

Have a throw measured at 600'.
