I went with the girlfriend to Blue Mountain Sporting Store because she was looking at KSO's. I noticed some discs so went over to peek. DX cost 11.99$and champion was 21.99$. I was shocked and the selection was limited too. Anyone else see places like this?

hey bill, i like the q-bert!

there is a paintball shop in either St John or Merrillville, Indiana (cant remember where the border of the two towns is) that prices the discs based on the names. A champ Viking was like $25 but a champ Sidewinder was only $16 it was weird.

And people wonder why small stores struggle? I don't mind paying a little more to buy in person, depending on the price and what it is, but over twice what the price should be is complete BS!

Since I rarely sell discs for more than $10 people just wait around the parks for me to show up like the ice cream man. Of course fund raisers, dyes and glows are a few $$$ more.

REI charges too much for discs. And their selection sucks.

You are right about REI charging too much for discs. The one here in N. Charlotte is 90% Star plastic, and when they do have Champion; It is always I-dyed Champion plastic which raises the price even more.

Star is $19.99

Champion (I-dyed) is $17.99

at REI from what I remember.

Of the discs they do carry in Star: Wraith, Valk, Sidewinder, Shark, Stingray, Aviar, Aero

REI almost exclusively sells Innova Star plastic discs, at retail.
Its not really overpriced, but they are maximizing thier profit potential from disc golf.
I don't mind paying retail for a disc, whats the max, maybe the 20 bucks I paid for the Worlds mad cow ?
Its no big deal.
I doubt I would buy from a place that was selling Dx discs for 15 bucks, but it's never really a problem in this area, we have plenty of options.

hmmm ive never heard of it
