Best disc golf moment ever!!!

This last Tuesday when someone I have been helping with their game beat me. She has turned pro and will be playing in the United States Women's Disc Golf Championship. First time in an event this big and she is real nervous.

Mine was about two years ago when I was a semi-noob. I bought two brand new 11x teebirds at PIAS in Austin and then played at Wells Branch. I threw the first TeeBird off the top of the hill on #3. I had about a 15 mph headwind but since I had a new TeeBird I threw with confidence. I could tell when it left my hand that it was good. It hit chains and bounced out. I took the other identical TeeBird and let it fly. It took an identical route and hit chains in the same exact place and then bounced out.

What's funny is now I throw putters on that hole and most others at Wells Branch.

Watching my son. I know I'm always talking about him on here, but he is a badass. I've watched him go from 100' throws to 350' + drives with control. He has forehand and backhand. I was there for his 1st Ace at 186', followed a week later by another at over 200'. His 1st tourney he played Men's Int. and tied for 10th. Just this month he played another in Men's Int. and took 2nd Place! I've had my moments too, but it's more rewarding watching his.

Out shot bikinjack at Rankin on Tuesday night. That is my high point. I am not only not very good, I also don't have lofty goals or expectations. Long live mediocrity!

Beer is good.

Glad I could make your disc golf career there, sloppy.

Proving how bad I can be once again, more mediocre than mediocre.

I have been seen a bunch but KC Worlds was pretty cool.

Played with Brian Schweberger at Blue Valley round 1. He threw a nice drive on the 816ft #13. He throws a thumber on his 2nd shot that hits the ground right under the basket and pops up right into it for an Eagle 2.

I was standing on hole #2 at Kesler Cliff Drive. I was sitting at -4 with only #2 to play. I threw a sweet drive right down the middle. The spotter goes nuts and yells ace. I went ballistic. That round rated 1049 and put $300 back in my pocket.

I have another skip ace at the 2007 Worlds on Highbridge Hills Blueberry #3.

I've never had an ace, but I honestly don't know if it will feel any better than this. My local course http://www.dgcoursereview.com/course.php?id=2622 is a city park, 9 holer, but it's pretty tough. I've played it 30-35 times and I've parred hole 3 only 3 times before. It's 383', full of trees and sits on a hillside full of nasty brush. The other day, I made a nice drive right up the middle and a beautiful approach that lands 3' from the basket. Hole 6 I've only parred once before. It's 375' uphill with some trees and a well guarded basket. My drive was good but not spectacular. My approach landed about 25' out and I had a good look through the ring of trees that protect the basket. I called my son and laid the phone down under the basket so he could hear if I made the putt. My PP360 work paid off and I nailed it. I parred both the toughest holes in one round, and with a birdie on hole 1, finished at -1, my best score ever on this course.

i birdied hole 2 at renny gold somehow my sidewinder found its way through the trees then i managed to get my gator to stay on the island green

Played a 9500' course on a ball golf course on friday using 18 temp baskets and golf carts. It was a blast, a tournament is going on there this weekend called the Hub City Open.

that first good rip on the drive where everything clicked for the first time. that's when i knew, i love this game!

I aced the hardest hole, not the longest, hole on my course. Hole is called the tree jail, Its pretty much dumb luck just to get through, but to ace is devine!

Hiestand last summer, short downhill (220ft or so) dogleg right to a blind pin. Just my lil bro and I, he goes first, and we here solid chains. Pretty stoked, and from the sound we both feel pretty good about it sticking, so I hurry and throw, same loud chain bang. Walked down and both were directly under the basket about six inches apart. Would have made for a better story if they were back to back aces, but it's still pretty cool to here two that solid within thirty seconds.

witnessing my buddy ace a 127' by lasering a Nuke. watching another buddy tomahawk the same hole for an ace. watching another buddy tomahawk on hole 1 short to the long basket for an ace. wacthing a legend at am worlds 2010 sink an ace while he didn't even realize he did it.

Winning Duos in the Desert in Las Vegas this last August in advanced as the higher rated partner when there were several teams higher rated than us. It was only my second time playing above intermediate. There was also extreme Wind (20-45mph), and my putting was on fire the whole time.

The time we played glo in the middle of the day.

Oh no you di'int!

Playing a round with a father and his kid who were playing for their first time, acing the longest hole on the course (360'), having them sign it, and then giving them a disc each.
