Exit 16 Sunset Rd in Charlotte NC gets my vote (1 mile east Nevin and 1 mile west Hornets Nest and Hotels between)

Its a dumb thread but I can't imagine a better pairing for the traveling player

Wherever you get off for Idlewild and Lincoln Ridge would rank up there, especially with some other courses around too.

Mashnut, that's Exit 182 on I-75. Been there so many times I know it by heart. My vote is for Exit 92 in Tennessee on I-65. Less than half a mile off the exit is Cedar Hill.

No lie, that's the first exit I thought of when I read the title of this thread before clicking on it optidiscic.... good call. I vote the same.

I-85, exit 17 in NC, Rankin Lake DGC is really close, <1 mi. Sunset Road in Charlotte is hard to beat, though, with the Nest a couple of miles one way, and Nevin about the same distance the other.

Idlewild and Lincoln Ridge and Boone Woods would be my #1.
Cedar Hill is the best course closest to the Interstate I can think of as well.

Hellyer exit on the 101 in San Jose CA. The two best nine hole courses I've played. Hellyer is about 50ft from the off ramp and La Raza is just around on the other side of the freeway.

I-65 Exit 253 in Indiana. 4 Lemon Lake courses and Rogers-Lakewood (Valpo).

For nine hole courses I concur.:)
