Your longest shot that went in the basket

I'd like to be able to get my Star Destroyer out half that far.:( Maybe once I get it beat in....

Mine was my first ace. Saturday (two days ago) at Rock River Discapades Tournament Course in Watertown, WI. #7- 240ish sweeping right curve through the woods. 2008 Discraft Ace Race Disc, LHBH perfect sweeping hyzer, nailed it. Won me an ace pool worth over $200. Looking at the wad of cash as I type this, trying to figure out what discs to buy. Good thing I've got a spare Ace Race Disc, cuz the first one just got RETIRED!

My three longest known shots (distances are approximations).

1. 145' (my lone ace).
2. 125' (for a three on a 600+' hole)
3. 105' (for a deuce).

I hit metal from over 200' once, but it clanked off the face mask. Six inches higher and it would have stuck.

Been playing 6 months and I've had a few flukes.

My one and only ace on #16 at Brian McClain in SA with a Sidewinder. (165')

On #10 (510' hole), my second shot from 210-215' hyzer. with a DC Flick. I thought I threw it too wide but the disc had a mind of it's own and faded very hard at the end to go right between some tight trees to the basket.

On #13 (622' hole), I threw my second shot from 300'+ was a big "S" sidearm with a DC Force. Really didn't even see it go in as I had turned to pick up my bag. I knew it was a good shot but didn't think it had enough to get to the basket. I heard it hit the chains and my friends started wooping and hollering.

All three were pure and simple flukes.

yeah mine is probably the worst of anyone else's...the longest shot i've hit is 45-50 feet, just outside of what i consider putting range...i'm depressed that i've never hit anything longer than that...i've had a couple runs at the basket from the tee, but no contact, and some longer upshots that nicked the basket or chains, but didn't stick...

my longest is an ace at Bowers Park, hole #1 in the C position at 355' - champion orc coming in on a big hyzer with a nice right to left wind, no skip (I was playing the skip to the basket but the wind threw it in instead)

My longest ace is 320ft (hole 16 @ Iroquois Park), but I'm trying to beat that. I got a 305ft ace (1/26 on hole 6 @ Buffalo Trace) and a 310ft ace yesterday (hole 14 @ Garry Cavan Park).

Mine was hole # 10 at sherando. My tee shot went way right, 10-15 feet into the woods. I made the 95' shot out of the woods, hyzer and right into the basket, no chains. I used my classic roc.

I think it was Steady Ed who said that an ace is just "a bad shot gone good."

people love to say that, but it is only partially true

there are some holes, that may have a backstop or something to where running at the ace can still leave you near the basket, so therefore you are intentionally trying to ace on your throw - which would mean the ace is a good shot in this case, because that was your intention

I can think of several holes off the top of my head that I always try to ace

Oh hell, I'm horrible at estimating distance, but mine is something like 75 to 100 feet out with my brick aviar. Forearmed it straight into the basket, much to my surprise.

Whenever I hit anything over about 30 feet, I always pace it off just for my own satisfaction. I just recently threw one in from 54 paces (yards) 162 feet. I always record em on my scorecard just for history.

i kinda disagree with "ace is a bad shot, gone good.." it's a good shot gotten lucky if anything...the way i see it, you have to be high enough to get in(therefore going past if you miss). imo, alot of "newbies" tend to throw low/short on all shots, including putts. maybe its a confidence thing?
