if you hit an ace playing dubz do you split the pot with your partner or keep it for yourself? i say keep it for yourself since you hit the ace.

If playing best shot doubles I say split it. Your only getting one throw at the basket if you ace it and no chance for your partner to even throw!

You have to split.

If I park my drive first and that gives you the opportunity to run the ace no-holds-barred... you have to split the ace if you get it.

Even if I didn't park my drive and my partner aced, there should be a split. Because the agreement had already been made (or should just be understood) that what's good for one is good for the other. It's a teamwork thing.

At the league I usually play, everybody splits it. Like DSCJNKY said, often one partner is playing it safe and the other is running at it, so it would suck to be the partner playing it safe and miss out on the ace pot.

and what if you use your shot all round and win doubles, do you keep the money also?

what type of life changing money are you guys winning in an ace pot that you would consider not doing the right thing and split it with your partner?

i'd split it (after removing $5 of my partners share that everyone on the card should pay you)

We have never split it. I have only hit it once in my league for a wopping $13 dollars but my partner threw right after me and took a run at it. There were a few hit last year and noone split it. If you tell your partner ahead of time that any ace hit is split then that is different. Might be different in other areas, but I haven't seen one split here.

i can see why people split ace pots even if you are the 1st to throw and ace it. your partner can still ace it too. just seeing what other regions are like on this.

i have nailed an ace before and my partner declined to take the half of $184. i then hit another 3 holes later after league.

It's not split around here. You hit an ace, you keep the cash. Someone else (including your partner) hits an ace during the same round, you split it.

Ace pots around here routinely get over $200. I bought a Droid last year when I hit an ace at doubles.

Wow I am surprised y'all are saying hit it and split it. What we do is 75 25. 75 for the hitter and 25 for the partner.

don't play dubs with me cause i ain't splitting unless it was stated before the round if we voted to split then thats another story. There is no unspoken law that says you have to split. without communication on the subject then everyone has a different opition. speak to your partner before the round and don't read minds. Never ever assume. This is a pretty easy subject unless you can't talk. before each dub round we figure who is in for 51. Never ever assume.

Banana split. If ur a team everything is shared. Win,loss, birdie, par, bogie ect....is all shared and goes toward the team score. Then someone hits an ace and all of a sudden its not a team thing????

Greed.......Can turn any good moment sour

In our local leagues, the regulars typically split it 50/50. However, plenty of people...myself included have made agreements to split it 60/40, 70/30, etc.

Last year one league had a 400+ pot that was split evenly after a n00b won it with the guy in charge as his partner. On that day, my partner & I made an agreement that the person who did not hit the ace would keep 150.

If my partner is someone new to leagues, I always ask about the split when we start just to make sure...especially at my home course where at least 12 of 20 holes are makeable aces.

In the spirit of doubles play and teamwork you split it. We split 51 money here too. Your partner doesn't pay you a buck every time you hit metal, he wins a buck.

If you're playing random doubles with a bunch of jack asses then I guess I don't know...follow the rules and don't be a douche over a little spending money.

The one time my partner hit an ace he split it with me. I told him "No you keep it" but he insisted since I had parked the hole he did a shot he never would have done.
