Review by aren in course Nichols Park DGC

3.50 star(s) A little raw, but enjoyable - This sits on an old golf course, so you feel fairly secluded on plenty of rolling hills, some water, while also venturing into the woods for a handful of holes as well. It's a good mix of shots that test distance and accuracy. - There are a few holes that really...

The number of disc golf player has declined, by a large number.....

Confirm here, too. Club membership this year is 136% of what it was in 2022, our highest year ever. Course play, according to UDisc, is on pace to be 125% of last year's total. To comments that there's a ton of plastic on the shelves, I'm curious at the amount of plastic being produced now...

Review by aren in course Adler Park

4.00 star(s) A Blast to Play - I'll be honest, I was shocked at how low Adler's DGCR rating after playing. This course is a blast to play, well maintained, and there are more kinds of shots required from this 9-holer than many other 18-hole courses. Is it super challenging? No, but I loved this course. -...

HOD 6/11/2023: Lincoln Park - North Hole #3 Springfield, IL

Awesome! My home course. This hole photo is a little deceptive though - I would say the gap that's shown isn't the right play. You want to play a huge turnover to the left of that tree. Anyway, beat up Star Wraith or Ballista Pro.

Who will be the next first time winner?

My money's on Niklas being the next first-time winner. He seems like he has the mental fortitude and all-around game to make it happen.

Review by aren in course Lake Eureka DGC

2.00 star(s) Just why? - There's some good shot-shaping on this mostly technical course. While basically half of the course plays as putter shots from the tee (even from the longs), there is some variety to the shorter holes. And there are some good longer holes that test more of your bag, as well as a...

Review by aren in course Hopedale Park

2.50 star(s) Worth the short detour off 155 - I never really play 9 hole courses, but I was pleasantly surprised. After the first couple of holes, I thought it was going to be putter shots throughout, but it mixes in a couple 370-plus, low-ceiling holes that challenge your driver, and several holes require...

One of the best bot revivals I've seen so far.

    Flip vs flex

It certainly could be the future, because courses have fewer lines where you need to throw flip shots. #getbackinthewoods

    2023 Reviewer of the Year

I think part of it is that there are fewer reviews in the winter months, which allows reviews to stay up on the front page longer. Or maybe you're just getting better!

So, how did you play today? Part II

Perfect weather today! Played in shorts and a T-shirt for first time this year - and got to play a course I used to play often 6 six years ago that's been updated since then.
