What I think of some disc golf rules and other ideas:

-Mandos: I like mandos for the most part, unless they take away the potential for a fun hole.

Ropes: I think they are necessary in some occasions. I think if they are going directly to the basket from the tee-pad is a great idea. Some at the USDGC are a little goofy. I hate the idea of multiple islands being created and where you are OB if you aren't in one of the islands. As long as the rule is to take it from where it went out, it's all good to me.

-Island greens: Usually enjoy them, as long as they are large enough and there's a drop zone. If there's enough potential for a score in the double digits, then I don't like it.

    -Drop zones: Love them!

-The rating system: Love it too! I always thought that in games, there needs to be a high score. And the rating system offers that. Love how it's used too and how it all depends on how everyone else plays.

I also love rock music, post-hardcore to be exact.

    Now about reviews:

-Keep it simple. Like an early morning cup of coffee. If I like the course, I'll give it a good rating. If I don't, I won't. I've seen reviewers say that they love the course, but have no choice but to downvote it because of "this" and "that." This is your opinion, and it's your thought on a disc golf course. No shame in liking a low rated course.

-If I like a course, I'm going to focus more on the good stuff and be persuasive by pointing out what I loved about it.

-The kind of holes I like:

-Anything with flavor and defined. It'd take me forever to say all sorts of hole I love.

It probably was me in front of you at g-dub. You should have joined us. Next time you play late afternoon there, let me know. And there is a gas station less than a half mile from the course, just an fyi.
I'm liking it...not getting to play too much due to work, but the courses I have played are pretty good. You should definitely check out Fontonel, I think it's right up your alley.
Hey Benny since I moved away I think it pretty much falls on you to keep the conditions up to date on here for all out Gtown courses. You already do a good job of it.
If you like hilly.. you will LOVE Simple Pleaures!! shoot me a pm and lets plan a sunday round man, that basically the only time I have to play my own course anymore haha
I don't have all of the holes on film. I will make it a point to do that next time that I play there.
thats a fun little course. It was perfect for what we needed. somthing to do for 30 min. Courses like that are more important than the big championship level courses. Easy to introduce new players and let non serious players have fun. I can't say it was amazing because it wasn't but it's great for the intent of the design
Glad you liked it...Thats the truth, its over $300 currently. Its our ace pot for all club rounds. Its up for grabs at all events. Just check the website www.GtownDGC.com for the when and wheres.
I played two rounds - one on the longs, then one on the regular tees. It's a really good challenge from the longs.
Yeah, I played South Mountain on Good Friday. I was surprised how good that course was. It's too bad the course is in the middle of nowhere.
Sugaree is pretty much seasonal, May 1-Nov 1 are times it will be open for sure.
Yea I lived around Lumberton NC while I was in college so Wilmington wasn't that far of a drive. Castle Hayne & Kure Beach(Joe Eakes Park) in Wilmington are both very good courses and if you are ever down there try to play them both but Castle is the best. the Unique thing about Kure is it is almost right on the beach. Otherwise the east coast is kind of lacking.
