I saw a headline today that Jessie Smollett googled his name 50 times after that bit of performance art he put on, so I googled my name and found this thread. It gave me a warm feeling that I'm remembered for coining "Am Scam." If you will remember me, please also remember me (and the Minnesota...
There is another self-called sport that has a rule that goes something like this: The player shall compete in such a manner that the other players can verify compliance with the rules.
Under that rule, if something happens so fast that you'd need slow motion to know that the player wasn't...
The rule can be fixed using language like what is used in the rules of golf for addressing the ball. You are not allowed to touch the ball before hitting it. But, the burden is on the player to clearly follow the rule:
"Unless it is known or virtually certain that the player did not cause his...

Cards showing up to courses @ 8:45 for 9AM starts: For the most part the tournament is being run by volunteers who are disc golfers. So that explains a lot.
Cards ... taking 1.5 hours more than all the players took to get between courses: This is a more complicated thing. They want to...

I use a brush with stencils too. I thicken my dye with liquid laundry detergent and let it dry out a little so it is about the same viscosity as paint. It mostly stays where I put it except on humid days if the dehumidifier isn't running.
1. Sign vinyl tends to leave a residue that is difficult to remove. Automotive masking vinyl removes clean. I use the automotive.
2. Fixed and swivel both work fine. I've used both.
3. If you can cut the vinyl without cutting the paper, that works best, but I cannot do that by hand...
Chuck Kennedy, Larry Labond, et al.: We (everyone whose entry fee I'm paying for) appreciate the advance information. It gives us the hope that this Am Worlds will be well run and worth the entry fee.
Funniest post I've seen in a while.
I was reading this thread to see what the issues were. The PDGA Board was discussing how this tournament was an embarrassment to the org and what to do in the future. So they've heard the complaints.
I've found that good prizes make up for a poorly run...
