    How many discs?

    I usually carry 2 or 3 of each mold of my distance drivers, fairways 2 each and 3 to 4 putters, 20 discs total in my grip bag.

    Once you get your snap down and weight moving forward you should start IMHO.

    I use a Ridge myself and like it, but if you want something more stable for forehands get a Gator or Tensor or Pig.
