1 Disc throwers Vs those carrying the bag

I've played for about 10 years, and when we were young we used to make fun of the old dudes with bags. I still only carry 4 discs, under-stable driver, over-stable driver, mid-range, and a putter, but that's because I just play for fun. I could see if I was in a serious tournament maybe 10...

5 Ratings for non-cement tee pads?

I think in some areas, specifically mountain courses, concrete tee pads just don't fit the setting. Someone also mentioned how difficult it would be to put concrete tee pads on a mountain course. I personally prefer concrete tee pads, but they would just seem out of place at 10,000 ft in the...

    GLOVES?!

I just keep my hands in my pockets, I can't throw at all with gloves on and taking them off for every shot is really annoying. Don't forget your towel when playing in the snow.

Review by dcarpent in course Edora Park - Old Layout

4.00 star(s) Edora park is an enjoyable, well rounded course that brings a large variety of shot types into play on every hole. The tee-boxes are for the most part in great shape, with the exception of #13 & #14 as they may have been recently moved because as of Oct 08 they are dirt with no signs. The...

Review by dcarpent in course Camenisch Park - Upper Badlands

4.00 star(s) You Won't Be Disapointed Spectacular course, every hole is a challenge. Elevation changes cover this park, downhill bombs, uphill struggles, I don't think there is a flat hole on the course. There is a great balance to the Badlands, the long holes give you a chance to open it up with some long...

How many discs, is too many?

I usually only carry 3 or 4 discs. I just don't want to carry a bag and I think carrying 20+ discs is a bit overkill. I learned how to play on a course where people made fun of you if you carried a bag, so maybe I'm just biased.

    Are "pinball" holes fair?

It could be worse, my home course right now barely has any trees in play and it can get pretty boring.

    Are "pinball" holes fair?

I love holes that are covered in trees. I think that there is a great amount of skill in throwing through a narrow gap in the trees, and it's only luck if you're not skilled enough to throw an accurate shot.

Review by dcarpent in course YMCA of the Rockies

2.00 star(s) Unimpressed This course is in a great setting, with beautiful mountain views. There is elevation changes on nearly all of the holes, as well as a significant number of difficult tree shots. Holes 14 through 18 are very nice. It plays through a series of mountain cabins, that line many of the...

Review by dcarpent in course Westminster DGC

3.50 star(s) Much Better Than Expected! This course is underrated in my opinion. While many of the holes on the front nine are very open the back nine has immense character. The course is in a separate area from the soccer and baseball fields, so you won't have to worry about throwing at people, except for...

Review by dcarpent in course East Interlocken Park - Old Layout

1.00 star(s) Not Great Well maintained park, there are a couple of interesting shots. Unmarked tee's and some very open, boring holes. Nine holes jammed into a very small park, could have been designed better. Maybe give it a try if you're in the area and wanna play a quick nine.
