Let me know if you want to get together Monday AM for a round. Maybe somewhere in between since we're on different sides of town. I was contemplating Manor again to get one more round in before the tournament? Sent a text last night, let me know.
I think this Saturday is supposed to be pretty nasty as far as the weather goes. You still hittin' up Kilborne?
Thanks Dude! Not playing today but hopefully I am ordering a practice basket either tonight or tomorrow -- Happy Birthday to me!
Yeah, I can only do Sugaw once a month, once every four weeks, which stinks, but what can you do? Two rounds at Elon and then Renny sounds good for the 17th. Just let me know if you can't do it. I'll be ready for it.

I could see how Elon could become pinball disc golf. If there aren't those skinny trees in the fairway, there's definatly plenty around the basket. Tough on the putting...There's almost 0 chance of having a clear 20ft. put if you aren't in front of the basket. I don't mind though, the course does need some challange with it being so short. #7 does seem like the easiest ace out there. I would believe that #15 might be easier from the long, the short seems "too short". See you out at Sugaw tonight!
It's just not close enough. And I thought Mint Hill DGC was a short course. Only a few ace possibilities out there.
I have off on Saturday the 17th, and if you would like to go out to Renny at any time that would be great. Even if you wanted to play a round or two at Elon before going up to Renny I would be fine with that, but whatever would be good for you if you are able to go. I would be going out to Sugaw for Am league that on the 18th also, and getting home just in time to watch football. I hear they decided on an 10:45 start time, even though the calander on CDGC website says 11. I'll definatly be out there early to get a practice round in.
(Posted twice, max characters is 1000 on these posts, had no idea)
You know, it seems so easy to avoid the jungle over there. I really got lucky on 10 when it decided to fade back at the last second.

I definatly can't wait to try out the longs over at Elon, not that it will make that much of a difference. I think disc selection would pretty much stay the same on most holes. Seems that I might shoot better, thinking less about overdriving the basket on most of the holes. Definately an awesome course to work on the short game though. Almost aced 4 holes in the two rounds I was out there and could see me getting my first ace out at Elon if I played out there enough.
Well done! 8 is definitely the hardest hole. That's one hole where I wish I could throw left handed. I saw a guy (lefty) hyzer spike a shot around the left side of the trees and land right next to the basket. That, in IMO, is the easiest line for the hole. But, since I'm not a lefty I'll just have to continue bouncing around the right fairway. I would definitely be interested in playing a round at Elon. It's been awhile since I last played out there. And I'm always up for playing Renny. I highly suggest playing Renny with someone else. There's lot's of potential for losing a disc out there. A 2nd person is needed as a spotter in some cases. I'll be at Sugaw. I hope I can avoid the jungle on 10 and 11. LOL
Well...I finally got out to play Elon Park today. Had the day off and figured that it was a decent day to go out there. It was a little wet still, but not all that bad. Scored pretty well...54 on the first round and 52 the second. Played from the shorts, but will play the longs next time I go out. Its a really simple course, the hardest hole I would say is #8. Two different lines to the basket and neither of them seem to work for me. I have off on the weekend in a week and a half. Maybe we could go out to Elon if your not busy. Might also consider going out to Renny. Still haven't been out there yet, and I've really wanted to check it out, and seems like the venture would be better with someone who's played the course before. Hope all is well, and see you thursday for our last AM league night!
Oh yea, and how did you get in an entire 18 after am league on thrusday? were you running through 18? And as I was browsing through your scores I couldn't believe how much better you shoot when you aren't shooting a league round. Big difference. Must be concentrating to hard. Just let 'em rip. You going to am league tomorrow?
Yesterday I heard that the DISCussion forum on the CDGC website might be down for a while. The server they were operating with says that they are using too much bandwidth or something like that. Looks like it could be a little while before they get it going again, or find another server.
Good to hear that you like chocolate too! I just invited you to the group "Chocolate Loving Disc Golfers" If you're really into chocolate, like I am, you might also check out a social network called "The Chocolate Life". I'm Olorin on there too.
Hey Kris, curious to know if CDGC site is down. It's not letting me access it, so I assume it is. Other than that, should be available to shoot a round this weekend if you are up for it. If we do you can pick the course, whatever you want to play, or is more convenient for you. I'll be starting to record my rounds again and post them. Hoping to see some improving numbers. Anyways, hope you've been well.
