Raku is certainly an art form. This particular application or style does nothing for me. To me it looks like the horse hair was applied without any real rhyme or reason. It's just a random mess.
That was my thought exactly when I saw it.
I wouldn't say this would be the coolest disc golf...
I can agree with this. However, I think I can provide a better example for the desert course. The rating for this course is actually closer to that of the course in Monroe but is significantly different in terrain and obstacles (or lack there of). I haven't played either one of these courses but...
I couldn't agree with this more.
I've played on tee boxes that consisted of paver stones/bricks and I really liked them. I don't know how much work is entailed for the install of those though.
Stealth chains
Here's what I came up with that's extremely quiet and very effective at catching anything you throw at it. Start at post #24 to get detailed instructions on making the "chain." Instead building a whole basket you could just find a cheap portable (Marketplace, Craigslist or eBay)...
I second this. In my experience, the ink will come off much easier if you attack it soon after the basket has been tagged. It's the ink that has been on for months or years that is extremely challenging to remove.

For best results, I recommend that you use cotton rope or some other rope that has some significant weight to it...
So, am I the only one who had to read this multiple times to understand what was going on? One minute there's a couple in the throws of passion and the next minute I'm trying to figure what the OP is doing to some woman's husband.
As for the couple, it's the new mile high club. ;)
That's awesome! I'll be looking forward to seeing your creation. Definitely post pictures.
So the black plastic circle is actually from a spool/reel that held some kind of rubber gasket. You nailed it! At a site that I used to work at, they would throw away these spools once they used up the...
Thank you for the compliment and I'm sorry for the extremely late response. I must have missed this post. It's a good question as I'm sure the same thing has crossed other peoples minds as well.
I've never had a problem with the basket tipping over. I've hit it from about 260 feet during field...
