Review by DiscGolfMaster in course Dacusville DGC

3.50 star(s) There is Potential Here Updated Review8/16/21 In Other ThoughtsThis course has a lot of potential to be a fantastic par 3 course. It has multiple tees, even green tees for the young ones. Baskets are nice brand new Innova DiscCatchers, you can never go wrong with them, nice and easy to see in...

Reach back era is over, long live the whip.

That is always what I assumed was the goal of the "reach way back" and why I think more videos like this need to happen. Just come out and say WHY you need to reach back as far as you can. I like to know how mechanics work, not just to be told reach way back (so this other secret thing will...

    Ball Golf Course Tolerance

It's definitely more fun to watch pros play holes that you can identify with as a spectator/player. Unlike the majority of sports, disc golf is one that for those who watch it, also play it. Almost none of the diehard football fans ever actually play. Point is, very few players even have a...

    13 disc bag limit...

I think my normal bag is about 13 discs soooo Tern Shryke Scythe Beast Sidewinder Spark TL3 Manta Mako3 Roc3 Comit Aviar3 Aviar That's my max bag and I rarely carry them all lol. I usually don't need the spark (thumber disc) or shryke (big turnover shots) or roc3 (overstable mid that the champ...

    Favorite female player?

Since you didn't specify professional female player, I'd have to say my wife, hands down, is definitely my favorite female player. To be honest, she has potential to be better than me. She has long legs and arms since she is 5'10 and thin physique. And she can throw pretty far with poorish form...

    robbed of an ace

Guess I've been pretty lucky. All of the solid chain hits I can think of have stuck for me. No pole bounce outs or anything. I have 13-14 legit aces, and all are sub 300 feet and most are putter shots, that might have something to do with it.

    ace that didnt count

You have to have a witness for the ace to count? I play a lot of solo golf and never thought twice about bragging to friends and family about banging an ace (first shot only of course).

    Please help with my form

I have the exact same problem and have been unable to fix it if that makes you feel any better lol. I hope you can. My athletic instincts won't let anything I do in drills or practice come to fruition. I'd love to see you succeed though, it might reignite my desire to change again. I also have a...

Review by DiscGolfMaster in course Anderson University

1.50 star(s) Not Great But Has Potential One set of concrete tees. Nice tee signs. It's being set up for multiple tees. Fairways were mowed. Pretty easy to navigate. Easy to lose your disc on virtually every hole. Fairways were mowed for the most part (hole 3 not playable, barely walkable) but off the...

Thumbers Hurt my Thumb and Disc Pans Quickly

I agree, mostly. I prefer fairway speed drivers with a good overstability rating and a flat or concaved top. If the top is really domey, it will make a poor thumber choice if distance is important to you. The best disc I've ever thrown for thumbers is a Moonshine Spark from lat 64. Goes 300...

Favorite Pandora stations to disc golf to

My favorite station is the one where the birds chirp, the creek babbles, and wind blows through the trees. Sounds so peaceful and amazing, I'm not sure why anyone would want to drown it out with their treble only, terrible sounding device, on a regular basis. I urge everyone that likes music...

Test Flight - Speed 9 Drivers from Glide Disc Golf

My wife just got the her longest ever drive with a speed 9 disc, the Escape, 300+ft. And I've been a user of the Sidewinder for years, fantastic disc with some big distance possibilities. Personally, I stick with speed 10 or lower unless it's pretty wide open and pin point accuracy isn't...

    The case for overstability

I agree. I also prefer to watch thumbers. I play disc golf for several reasons, one being that I love to watch the disc fly. Hyzers are more of a rocket up and plummet down kind of shot and are the least fun to throw and watch. I rarely throw them unless it's absolutely necessary. And spike...

    Fossa Tana questions

I really like the Fossa Skinny. Just check it out if you haven't before you decide. The bags that have one large compartment for discs, like the Tana, are often annoying to carry unless you fully load them all the time. If it's half loaded for a light round, the discs kinda flop around in there...
