I've actually played this course (in part)! I actually threw at the wrong pin on this hole, lol. But even with the proper pin, it's a shorty and no more than a putter throw. Much more about line and disc control. Dang, wish I could back out to Colorado for a visit!

    Mini DG courses?

I've been taking a break from regular DG (I was getting too competitive) and have started playing more mini DG. Don't have any mini courses that I know about, so this is what I do. I use the picnic tables (almost any park will have a section with some) for targets and u have to land it on top...

Is the pic from the tee? It doesn't look anything close to 473'. Anyway, I'll FH something stable along the shoreline. There's a good chance I'll guard against going into the water and over hyzer the shot. Hopefully I'll stay out of the trees and have a good luck at the upshot.

Nobody's just gonna try the RHBH hyzer route? I'll take something like an Avenger SS and shoot it just over those small trees. Should get me right under da basket :D Although I could end up in one of those pine trees, but I'm a gambler like that!

I could be wrong, but I think map shows the alt pin and pic is regular (short) pin. For pictured pin, I'll go champ valky to the gap, upshot, putt. For alt pin, I agree, u want to go around those trees. So maybe go with a champ Starfire to get there.

I think I'll flick a t-bird and just try to keep it straight and get it down there as far as possible. Probably a Comet on the second to weave through the trees. 2 putts and out.

How do you use, or do you even use, your Buzzz in strong winds?

I will throw my newish Z Buzz into a light or even moderate headwind. What I've found to work is throw it nose up and always with some degree of hyzer. It will turnover if the wind is strong enough but almost always will flatten out or come back at the end, unless I try to overpower it. I...

HOD 1/17/12 - Jim Warner Memorial DGC

hmm, seems the aim here is to miss the trees because that will give your disc a better chance of getting to the pin :p But seriously folks, I'd go FH off the blue tee with a Valk or beat STarfire. Should give me a good straight flight that finishes a bit right. Hopefully will give me a good...

So this looks like the B pin placement? Anywhoo, I might go Comet for A pin, and maybe a forehand roller for the other two pins to try to get down there. Cool hole.

    147g Wraith: doin it

Sidewinder lives in the analysis/critique subforum and posts on most videos that people submit, offering analysis and tips. Check it out if u haven't yet. Like I touched on before, some of what he says goes a bit over my head, but it does seem to sink into my thick skull over time. Here's a...

    147g Wraith: doin it

Yep, all good posters and I've learned from each of them. But when it comes to overall technical knowledge and also technique breakdown/analysis, there is none better than Sidewinder22 for my money! I have to say that some of what he says goes over my head, but after I read it 3 or 4 times in...

    Been playing a year now . . .

The highlighted part is exactly what I was doing too. Played around with planting more in a closed position and sure enough, it does encourage a better drive with the legs/core. It seems I've read before where u or another wrote about planting slightly to the left of your target line for a...

    147g Wraith: doin it

As far as disc weight, this is very much in line with what I've found too. A 160g disc seems to have about the most distance potential. It's light enough to get up to cruising speed, but not so light that it magnifies release errors so much. I would say I find this applies for backhand more...
