We had our Tuesday league tonight (in NE Iowa) and the scores were brutal. Added 7 or 8 strokes to my normal doubles score, but it was pretty entertaining at times. Thought I had figured some stuff out during my warm up round, but the wind was just doing what it wanted, when it wanted.
I've found whenever I think I'm really attached to a certain disc, think nothing could ever replace it, and then end up losing it.. I actually end up finding something else I can work with and forget about it pretty quickly. It's just not worth it (for me) to get hung up on certain molds or...
Our Tuesday league does this too. Except it's a belt made out of old beer boxes so you can write who won with the scores on the back each week. Also has a flap that folds down to record aces. Returning champs get to keep their team. Everyone else reflips for doubles. Had to start a new one...
I guess I never even realized photos were sorted through and some were deleted. (I guess this makes sense because I could upload a photo of a water skiing squirrel if I really wanted to).
I totally understand the "encyclopedia" approach Tim pointed out. I do think these kind of photos are...
I've been noticing lately that a lot of course photos are just kinda "blah"(to me) and don't really show you anything about the character of the course. Generally these are the photos taken from the teepad which are all the way zoomed out. Obviously it's great to see what the shots look like...
Yeah, you can definitely see some guys playing on hole 3. Used to live right by this course and i don't think there was anything out in the middle there that would cast any shadows except for players. As far as the blue disc, I think yes. If you compare it to the teepads it doesn't look that...
I can't figure out what this disc is... Seems to be champion plastic. No abbreviations are on the bottom. Just has a small Innova logo in the middle and a ring of reflective looking gold. From the few times I've thrown it, it seems to be very overstable for how slow it is. Anyone have any...
I've got pics for all the courses in the Cedar Falls/Waterloo area and beyond that I need to get uploaded... and yes I'm slacking on the reviews. I'll just assume we're all too busy playing:)
Was playing best shot with 4 teams last summer.(flipping for teams) Ended up flipping with a guy I know and he ended up acing hole 8 on our local course. A short hole but still cool. We decided to play a second round and re-flip. The same guy and I ended up on the same team again. (not that...
Sorry, wasn't trying to imply that Innova is a little guy in the disc golf market, just saying in contrast to Nike, Innova is tiny. I don't have a loyalty to any one disc company.
Nike learned a lot from skateboarding and they will remember it if and when they get into disc golf. Not sure if this was mentioned but Nike failed the first time they tried to get into the skateboarding market. It was a complete joke. However, they had the resources to try again (some years...
They do this at my home course for a week or two each semester. It's pretty much just a free for all...girls usually stand in groups around the baskets talking and the guys just run around throwing at random baskets. It's actually kind of entertaining and they are there and gone in about a...
