Yo, JungleTim and I are driving up to Corpus Christi Sept 26-28 for a weekend of some DG. You or any of the Houston players are welcome to swing by and play a round with us if y'all want to.
Eric: I am still working on using my laser range finder. I think I need to get a monopod like you have. I just found a new 9 hole course at Red Rocks community college. Has some distance to it and is a great change from Schaefer and Ken Caryl. Sounds like your trip was great. I am laughing at the ratings on this web site. Some people like manicured courses that are like ball golf courses and I like natural vegetation like Bird's Nest. When they do tournaments at Bird's Nest they combine some of the holes and that brings the extra ones into play. I like all the work the city of Arvada has been puting into the course. I hope you get to keep on enjoying all these different courses.

    Howdy!
Well, I doubt that Beaver Ranch would have the scene that DeLa has, which is part of what made DeLa so good imo. That and the challenge and history of it. From the reviews and pictures, I get the feeling that Beaver Ranch isn't even as good as Beaver Meadows. But all this spectulation should come to an end by the end of the week, as I plan to pay a visit to Beaver Ranch very soon. DeLa is the only 5 I've given, I think one per, every 70 courses (if they deserve it) isn't bad. Plus I didn't see the "cons" at DeLa as poorly as you did and honestly felt the 4&1/2 punished DeLa too much.

Funny how I feel like I've have to stick up for Dela, its not MY home course, I just think way too many people out there are underrating it. However, I'm confident though, that as more people rate courses good or bad the more accurate their grade will be. In the end it can't be "wrong" because its a matter of opinion. DeLa must be one of those places where one dude thinks it rules and the next guy is trying to figure out why. You can tell by the range in vote grades as well as the smattering of thumb downs going both ways. I knew I would get my first thumbs down reviewing it and I don't care.

Another opinion, Thunderhead is the best rocky mountain course.

BTW, what would you rate Beaver Ranch?

Eric, I have been waiting for your scores to be posted in your scorebook. Getting a birdie on 6 at schaefer is great. If my drive is far enough, I hit a tree on my putts. They just relocated the pins at Bird's Nest and made it a little harder. I hope you enjoyed that course. Also, I am hoping you got to Ghost Town. I will be checking your scorebook to see how you did. I hope you enjoyed your trip up here!

I've been meaning to ask you how the "Bring your Floata to Mozola" tournament went. Are they still talking about upgrading it to 18?
    Eric,
I'll be in Houston later this week....any suggestions of courses I should try to get to that aren't on my played list in your area?
You rock bro. I love your posts! Oh, and congrats on making it to 'Driver' status!
Wow, yeah with so many disc I though you were a dealer or something, which i suppose you do also. The links looks like a great course.
