That's pretty consistent with what I have heard from a few reliable sources. However, those sources also said there was more to the story that has contributed to the issue. Though someone here might know.
They're both good guys and great players and handle themselves well on the course, so...
There have been random discussions in the disc golf community about this over the past couple years, but there's not been any real definitive answers. The reason I'm asking here, is it doesn't seem to be getting any better.
There doesn't seem to be any real love between Prodigy and Innova, but...
I guess everyone has their favorite players, which for me comprise more than just playing ability, but in light of McBeth's tournament play this year, it's hard to not root for him. That guy seems to be getting better and better!
I was pulling for Doss this year, I just like that guy. Class...

Wooded (Advanced Course)
Can't remember each hole exactly, so this review will be somewhat limited. Apologies...
-Holes 1-5 start off the course in a moderately wooded portion of the park. Tennis courts do not really come into play, except in the case of a poor shot. All these holes, if you...

A New Course!!
- Very nice and accurate T-signs, with level rubber mat layered pro T's. The Am T's are gravel still, but looked playable. Only a couple of the pro T's were gravel, but they are soon to be changed. I played the pro layout.
- Course flows naturally, and challenges you with the...

Open and Tricky
This was a fun course. It is set inside a winding river, which comes into play on several holes, an RV park, and alongside a railroad. Several roads around the RV park come into play, as does the railroad on one hole.
Good practice basket...always a plus.
I liked the...
I know this is the Axis review conversation, but since the time I picked up both my Vector and Axis discs, I loved the MVP products! My Vector is dead accurate (for me) up to 350 and my Axis is the same, though they both fly and are used for different purposes in my bag.
I am ready for a...
LOL!!! I thought this was you! I'm in your debt bro, you opened my eyes with the Axis. I ordered 2 and anxious to get my own! (Tried to talk him out of oen of his; he didn't budge :))
Kiss that beautiful daughter of yours for me and keep chucking! I'll catch you net time I'm in town. Nice...
Ran into a local pro in Clearwater, FL (Taylor Park) who was testing the Axis and was blown away that he let me toss a few holes with him. I loved the disc! Up to 325 (for me) and 350 (for him) the disc went straight as an arrow and landed flat. I found that throwing it flat, it flew and...

I feel your pain, bro...
You may already have found your disk, but here's my 2 cents nonetheless.
There are two short range anhyzer discs that changed my game. (1) DX Stingray (Beat-up) and (2) DX Wolf 180g.
Stingray - For short anhyzers under 250, I believe there is no better disk. It...
