Gorgeous and challenging
Absolutely gorgeous. This course is on the kind of land you drive past and fantasize about how great a disc golf course could be on that kind of property. And they made it. Incredible views of surrounding rolling Alpine hills. The guy who made it also has so much...

The view on the green at #3 is amazing - you see all over an estuary with large distant sand dunes, and the famous Morro Bay. 4 of the 9 holes have very interesting approaches, with elevation and obstacles well placed. The 2 holes that use water use it well. Because of the high winds, you had to...
I hear ya. I'm actually an SC native, now in cali, so we are indeed reversed. i do agree that disc golf in the south is much better than in cali - i was pretty disappointed when i moved here after playing a lot in SC and GA.
just wondering - what is better than renny in NC?
i liked the...

a couple of interesting pin positions can make upshots interesting
wide open, tests almost nothing other than distance. unless you throw 400+ with accuracy, you will be throwing the same shot off the tee every time. i found it boring (and i have no problem throwing 400).
not worth $10 and too...
not that it's anything other than opinion, but i think renaissance has better, more interestingly designed holes. it's been more than 4 years since i've played stafford (while i played renny last year, and maybe if i played in the opposite order, i'd think differently). i only remember a couple...
hey discette! i think that's a great idea for the way up!
thanks everybody else for replying. i've played ryan ranch a couple times and loved it. also played novato, which was my favorite course ever till i played renaissance in charlotte last year. we'll definitely hit up golden gate while in...
I'm looking for two courses to play between these two cities: one on way up and one on way down. I've played Coyote Point in Ventura, the one in Santa Maria, and Laguna Lake in San Luis Obispo many times and would like something new. (My buddy is coming from the east coast so we may go out of...
do you have some bone to pick with me? christ, all i was interested in was if people who were dedicated to a midrange mold carried other mids. i chose the roc because i know it's popular and people are dedicated to it.
you say you trust discspeed b/c he is the only one that acknowledges that a...
I got one 169 pro, flat-topped katana and took it to a longish, open course around socal, whittier narrows. My distance drives are usually 325 - 350: i dont have a big arm.
The katana immediately gave me birdie opportunities on 6 holes (converted 4) that ive never been close to out there. It...
yah, i was attempting to avoid another roc v. buzzz discussion by putting them on equal pedestals, but the roc freaks cant seem to let it go. waiter: would you like some insecurity to go with that inconsistency?
hmm, i carry buzzzs and just use heavier z buzzzes with hyzer for more overstable needs. the only time i consider other mids is for understable turns (i dont get a decent S out of a buzzz at all- it just goes wherever i throw it)
do you carry other midrange discs in your bag, either more overstable or understable?
I don't on any kind of regular basis because i feel like i can get one of various buzzzes to do whatever another mid would do, though i have occasionally dropped a skeeter or stratus in the bag.
i also havent...
just wondering if this sounds like a good way to practice putting:
from 12 feet: make 10 in a row
then from 15, 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30 i throw 12 shots each (using 3 discs only), then 3 each backwards from 30 as straddle putts (which is not my normal form, but i have to throw em occasionaly so...
i throw the orion lfs and love em. when ive picked up teebirds and vikes they all seem very similar to me. care to share what you think the diff.s are b/t these three molds? (speed, glide, fade etc?)
