    I love talking about the courses I've played, if you have questions, comments or disagreements with my reviews I want to hear them.

    Here are some of the criteria I focus on when reviewing and rating a course:

    Design: Good balance of long/short and left/right/straight holes, good use of property features, risk/reward opportunities, challenge, multi-shot holes that reward excellent drives with fair landing zones, appropriate challenges for the intended skill level

    Beauty: Seclusion, nice views, well maintained property, elevation changes, mix of different levels of foliage

    Amenities: Level and smooth tees, tee signs, baskets in decent shape, navigation aids where necessary (course map, next tee signs etc.)

    Bonuses: Multiple tees, multiple pins/pin placements, fun water shots, loops back to parking lot, active club/tournament scene

    ok, not sure how long it would take you to get to grafton so I figured I would ask. I think we will be done playing by 2:30 3:00 so it might be pushing it to get in a round at dretzka especially since it is 30 minutes from tendick, see you up there . . . any confirmation from jhgonzo as to whether he is or is not coming? Last I heard he figured he would be there

    It might be cheating a little bit, but she's played the courses... Is that wrong?

    I am going to be here, but I am playing the match play tourney that Terry Miller "The disc golf guy" is putting on on saturday at Valley View in New Berlin. I am his resource for how to set up a match play tourney so I need to help him out with this as we try and figure out the best way to do it.
    Are you only going to be up here for sunday or what are your exact plans for travel?

    It's funny how few of those things would influence my review... that's awesome. The actual holes themselves look pretty interesting; some uphill tunnels, tricky tee shots, trees to get around.

    I just saw the rating, but then the picture looked pretty cool (I usually check to see where the course is located). I'll take your word for it over some fuzzy photos!

    That LeRoy course looks pretty crazy! It must have been in terrible shape to get a .5 rating, eh? The pictures make think of a 2-2.5, easy.

    Was great meeting you at Highland, and sort of playing dubs with you at Trinity Links. Been meaning to review the courses I played on that trip, but I've been pretty busy the last couple of weeks-haven't been on DGCR much. Highland is a neat course and I really enjoyed a full day at Lemon Lake. If you have any plans to play in southern MI, let me know!

    Nice, nice... my wife was interested in going to Round Lake too, but she has to go to the Bears game. WorldsCoolestGuy and I are likely going to Hayne's Wayside at 8 on Saturday if you want to play earlier!

    If Sunday is out, I'll probably check out some new courses like last week; that Village Center in South Elgin is very interesting. And I got denied at Q Center; a true private course! Ouch!

    Howdy. Looks like this Saturday is once again going to be spent in the Joliet area (and of course you are invited to educate us some more). But, I am perfectly clear on Sunday if you wanted to do Summit or Kenosha or Rockford or something :D

    Just wanted to say thanks for your advice on my grip. I have only played one round since RLW, but could already see some good improvement. I was turfing them, but they were turfing at the same distances my normal drives faded out!!! Very excited to get a full day in this weekend!

    Let me know when you want to play Summit; I think it will be tough to get other people to go though :p

    Hey thanks, I was surprised when I got home from dinner to see the little emblem. I really wasn't sure because it took you so many courses (and you had way more states played) to get there I was concerned it might take me a while. I just looked at the TR stats and there is one thing not updated on mine is that I have now played 15 states. It is a nice club to be in, as corny as it sounds it is important to me because it is proof of just how much I LOVE playing different courses. It isn't about the TR emblem or the recognition on here, it is just about getting my butt to as many courses as I can! I love it.
