The ROC
This is a great place to play for families and beginners. Very fun with a ton of ace runs from the Reds. Course plays in a big circle basically around the center of the Park, which is necessary due to the restricted space. Overall, the course design and flow basically make sense with...

Hit up the Green!
This is a relatively tough 9-hole course. Not a pitch-n-putt like most of them. You will need Distance Drivers from the Blues. From the Reds you don't need anything faster than a Firebird.
It is rather difficult to play both Reds and Blues for 18 holes and break Par...

One of the top 3 in Austin area, easily
[UPDATE: November 2012]
All Teepads are installed except for #7. Instant Rating increase of 1/2 star. The best tees in Austin behind Roy G.
The long tees are incredible, they made these customized trapezoids and you can really tell the angles were...

Lake Nac, one of the best in ETX
Super challenging, plenty of big-time elevation shots, best scenery around with lake in the background, secluded hidden gem, trails and features are improving all the time now.
Nice practice basket at the start of the course to play warmups.
Take food and plenty...

The BEast
Love this course. It has the perfect mix of bombs, control drives, and super technical play. There was some water in play, plenty of OB, and elevation, which are 3 requirements for an excellent course for my own personal taste in course design.
Front 9 has some beautifully framed...

Northtown
Another course on the Eastside of Austin / Pflugerville with good baskets.
A longer/tougher course to play near the much shorter Wells Branch course.
Not too tough for beginners, especially the back 9.
Two decent holes to throw over ponds.
Pavilion at parking lot with restrooms...
Can't wait for VIP Harp to be released, it should fill that OS approach slot .
Threw the proto Felon this weekend and it is a perfect 11x FB replacement. Flattop, executes all the same utility shots, and has that same great flight. Someone said it flies like a perfectly seasoned 11x FB and...
Claymore/Truth/Verdict is the ultimate combo of extremely similar flattop-ish molds with different stabilities (US/ST/OS). I love the low profiles cuz they work great for sidearm as well as backhand.
That's because the XXX has a virtually square nose, and the Firebird has a radius on the top of the nose, or round blunt nose if you will. The XXX creates more drag and thus the slower speed rating (7-speed) than a Firebird.
And the other fella is correct in that there is no Trilogy version of...
The last day Pease Park was in Austin before they pulled it, Jeff Barron hit back-to-back aces and I think one or both were on video.
Unfortunately, the course got permanently pulled a few years back due to politics, but we decided to start a club that played the old layout using a temp...
