A squid eating dough in a polyethylene bag is fast and bulbous, got me?

    Other info

My philosophy of Course Ratings: Sorry, I don't have an objective course review strategy. I play 'em and wing it.

My background is in parks and recreation, so I tend to have a better handle on public courses and how they fit into an overall park design. I'm nit-picky on conflicts with other park uses and play-ability (flow) as opposed to someone who is just evaluating the shots.

I'm not a very good golfer so things like the challenge level of a top-tier course isn't really my strong suit. I can look at things like variety of shot types, variety of distances, etc., but I'm not really sure for example if a hole is a par 4 or a par 5. Like I said, I just take my perception and wing it.

As a result, I really don't review courses I consider to be a "3" or over after I play them once. Better courses I like to play 3-4 times in a variety of weather to get a better feel for the design.

I have noticed your expertise on several fourums and was hoping to get your opinion on a posting on "whats this disc worth." Thanks for your time.
I have never heard any Tito Puente. :\

But  to Bitches Brew. I'm definitely a huge BB fan, prefer it immensely over In a Silent Way. Also a fan of Getz and Montgomery, but I only own a few works from each.

    Thanks for the linky-link.

Also, on an unrelated note, I just found out yesterday that Def Leppard are British! I guess hearing them on the radio, and their immense popularity always had me thinking of them as being as American as apple pie. :\

Also, I think your profile page theme/colors just gave me a seizure. :D
Hey man, thank you for the heads up on the good Captain...I was unawares. :( Very sad day for me.

On a positive note, over the weekend I picked up Pyromania by Def Lepperd. There were actually two or three songs on there that I always used to hear on the radio and didn't realize it was DL. Pretty okay stuffs, totally awesome if just from a nostalgia standpoint.

    ^Cute kid by the way.
Yeah, Highland is a different beast with leaves. I was actually a little disappointed in it the second time through, and would probably revise my 4-disc rating to a 3.5 or maybe even a 3, but I'd like to play it again in the spring/summer before making my decision.

Totally glad we got the chance to meet up while you were in town! Thanks again for the BB!
What? You gave my "local" courses less than a 5-disc rating?!?!?!

    OMG

    ;) Nice reviews, sir!
just read your post in that thread about the Ching Bomb... you knowledge of discs is insane and I salute you sir.
    Guru Scott,
Now that I know there are other options what would you recommend for a mid? I liked the feel of the comet that I threw last week. I want something that is dead on straight but that I can hyzer/anhyzer if needed.
Hope you are having a good Thanksgiving in the north lands!
Thanks for the info. Scott- I think I threw too many heavy discs today and way too many forehands- the visitor had good info and was a big help but I need to stick with my lighter drivers for now!
Thanks Scott- I have been throwing a stingray a lot at LC and it works good for me on the drives (low and straight) but I love the Roc for approaches. I have a 150 class DX Rancho- are they really that much better in the heavier weights and are the different types really that much different? I read a lot of forums on here and people are very sentimental about the different types and the heavy weights...
So I guess I need to find another Roc- or learn how to throw the Buzz I have... off of that subject, what's your opinion of the Polecat and the Gazelle? Are they anything I would want to mess with?
Hey Scott- I have a rules question and you seem to be in the know (or at least know where to look)- is paint pen legal on a disc? A buddy of mine did a painting on my Roc and then clear coated it and it is sweeet! I just want to make sure it is legal.
I could part with my blue star RR, but its beat in, and I am thinking of using it for a roller. There were two guys down from Chicago for Ozark that stopped by LC and sold discs, I got a nice *RR with an '10 Mayhem Open stamp on it, it's Max weight though, I also got a sweet Max weight Pred I-Dye to replace the one lost at #14.

In other news, are you going to be able to make league on Saturday? Can you post it on DGScene? I would like to have some administrative capabilities for that as well to post some events as they come up. Just askin'.
I just picked upa a max weight Star RR from some dudes at LC yesterday. I also bought a max weght avenger, and I don't think you'd want that. I will keep looking for a lighter Avenger for you. You want X not ESP or Z?
