Why are tournaments Thurs to Sat?

Why do larger events run Thurs-Fri-Sat instead of Fri to Sun? I understand it gives travelling players time to get home on Sunday but they still have to take an extra day on the front end so no real gain. So what is the reasoning?

    Gift cards in player packs

Just wondering if this is a trend in our sport. Went to a tournament and in the players pack was a disc and gift card. A friend went to a tourney that was all gift cards to pubs and an online DG retailer. Anyone else getting gift cards in players packs? Pros: Guaranteed you are getting your...

    2020 Majors

Pros have not been kind to the Fort course. Tees are crammed close to baskets and some highly questionable fairway designs. Don’t believe me? Heck, go check the DGPT coverage from last year, commentators had serious concerns.

Review by Understable in course Huck It Disc Golf

3.50 star(s) New course, still needs work Cement tee pads on every hole. Large cut out fairways, even in the treed holes there is always lots of room, especially for newer golfers won't get frustrated by fairways that are too narrow or trees in the middle of fairways. Good signage. What a fantastic piece of...

New Pro Level Course in Arizona - Turquoise Valley DGC

What do you mean by Championship? Is it just long? Is it difficult? I assume that many of these holes are wide open and hucking for distance. Other than distance what makes this course Championship? Don't get me wrong, same issue in ball golf. Everyone claims to have built a championship layout...

    Removing DNF players from results

You argument makes perfect sense. I just believe that if you paid to register, you should show up on the TD Report.

    Removing DNF players from results

Or the TD removed the players and pocketed the PDGA fees for himself. PDGA should receive their fees.

    Removing DNF players from results

Not sure if they were in the unofficial. Did not look at results until about a month later. Does it make a difference?

Is Utah Open a quality course

Complaining for what? Too long, too difficult?

    Removing DNF players from results

I noticed a couple of tournaments where three people who didn't complete the PDGA tourney (DNF) and were removed from the PDGA results page as if they hadn't registered. Is this PDGA legal? Are the TDs essentially pocketing the PDGA event fees? Is this normal for PDGA events?

Is Utah Open a quality course

I don't like the terrain or the design of the course. Terrain - its wide open and flat. To bring challenge to the course they have perched baskets on top of mounds usually with sand traps on one side of the green. The goal is the throw a hyzer that will turn over and blade towards the ground at...

Is Utah Open a quality course

I had assumed that when the PDGA split the Master/Pro Worlds then going to two courses would generate events with higher course standards. I don't feel that Mulligans fits that standard. Even if there is a second course, they must both be of a true 'championship' caliber. Augusta was a good...

Is Utah Open a quality course

I saw that the home of the Utah Open will host 2020 Pro Worlds. Never play a round in Utah but wondering what the opinion of the course is? I've watched the JomezPro coverage of the Utah Open and always felt the course was lacking. Its a WIDE open course where the baskets are placed on mounds...
