Heading to northern Idaho for Solstice

    Bump for glow info!

Heading to northern Idaho for Solstice

Year 19 of the annual disc golf trip with the same three other guys, and headed to Idaho for (mostly) Farragut courses and Caliber. We'll get Sandpoint in too, and potentially something in Spokane on the way in or out. Usually I have lots of questions about the area, poisonous plants/ticks...

Western Michigan in July- any tips?

Thanks for all the replies and good info. Would love to have a sky full of stars for glow, though moon will be getting towards full (also not bad for glow!) Then, turns out we're staying just a couple miles away from Whiskey Hills. As for Vallarta-Ast (and Diamond X): my only disc golf...

Western Michigan in July- any tips?

Thanks all! Good info. Wolfhaley, I read your thread a bit back- I got my first ace at Diamond X (sure do miss that pink CE Valk) on a road trip to a wedding in 2002. Basically the reverse of your trip, but lots more Montana. Also hit Vallarta-Ast that trip, and like Diamond X, it changed the...

Western Michigan in July- any tips?

After missing last year's annual disc trip with the fellas (would have been our 18th consecutive year), we're back at it and heading to Michigan. Flip was the impetus, but we'll be playing up from Grand Rapids, and then taking in the Mason county courses. On our list: Shore Acres, Breakers...

    Minneapolis glow?

We enjoy all types of courses, but appreciate variety within a course (elevation, balance of left&right, wooded/open) as long as the design is thoughtful and fair. Nice to have to decide between signature holes. Always fine with a good walk- no need for packed in parks with barely separated...

    Minneapolis glow?

Appreciate the responses. Since we're out there, we'll most certainly be playing Vision Quest and BRP. Always quality over quantity. Other courses on the list: Bryant Kaposia The Valley Hidden Lake Lakewood Hills Anything else close to town a must hit? We arrive midday on the 19th, and will...

    Minneapolis glow?

Starting to plan our 17th annual disc trip, and we're hitting up the greater Minneapolis area from July 19-23. Certainly nowhere near the quantity of Lion's trip (we're slow), and have a pretty good list based mostly on reviews here, but here's a couple questions: First, where do we glow (where...

    Lake Tahoe

Yeah, but we're magic. As are red lights on headlamps. And for traveling discers, playing where you sleep is tight. Especially for glow, and especially when you feel like you're the only ones out there (we were.)

    Lake Tahoe

Been there twice with buddies on our annual trip (to various locations)- it's amazing! Loved Zephyr for the views, Kirkwood was great, but I will say this: if you have any interest in playing glow, it's pretty hard to beat Turtle Rock. Play a round in the daytime, light up the course (I think we...

    CO trip- Solstice

I'm definitely interested in Peak One for our glow round. Creative parking is no sweat, and it wouldn't be the first time we had ourselves a little stroll to get into a park. No full moon unfortunately, but a brand new crescent, which works too. WGC, think you could steer us to a good place to...

Thanks Bob. Does this also mean that Peak One is easy to walk onto at 10pm?

West Coast Road Trip - Help needed

+1 for Tahoe. We camped at Turtle Rock a few years ago, and it was fantastic. So nice to be able to walk to the first tee. The surrounding courses mentioned above are absolutely top notch- after playing here, all we talk about is going back.

    CO trip- Solstice

Thanks for the replies. Since most of our time will be spent playing in the mountains, do you have any suggestions for a glow round closer to Denver that we might potentially hit some night? Ideally, a course that's at least a little out of the way to avoid waking the neighbors...

    CO trip- Solstice

Making our annual disc golf trip to Colorado (13th year, first time in CO) this year, and looking for some advice. Coming in June 20, leaving June 24. We'll be staying outside of Bailey for at least three nights, and will focus our attention on area courses: Bucksnort, Phantom Falls, Beaver...
