Review by Discobedience in course Bittersweet Ridge - Sweetside

4.00 star(s) Premiere Maine Disc Golf Location Bittersweet Ridge is my favorite course in the state of Maine. Between the player experience, the staff and the course itself, there is no other place I would rather toss my discs. Currently BSR has 1 fully completed course with one more nearing completion...

Review by Discobedience in course Osceola Tug Hill - North

3.00 star(s) Picturesque Disc Golf I got the opportunity to check out this course while attending a local music festival, and I am incredibly glad that I took the opportunity to take the drive over. We were driving through a residential neighborhood when we arrived and we pulled into what appeared to be...

Review by Discobedience in course Pleasant Hill DGC

2.00 star(s) Don't Miss P-Hill There are a couple major water hazards to be aware of at Pleasant Hill. Hole 3 is lined on the right side by a pond, your second shot on hole 8 is worth double checking, a long drive on 10 will drop you in the drink, as well as an errant shot left or right on hole 11, and...

Review by Discobedience in course Woodland Valley - The Grizzly

4.00 star(s) Premiere Disc Gold Spot Woodland Valley has two courses: The Black Bear and The Grizzly Bear. The Black Bear is designed for casual golfers as well as tournament players. It could not be considered a pitch and putt, but a majority of holes are under 300 feet long. For experienced players, you...

Review by Discobedience in course Forest Hills Disc Golf & Country Club

0.50 star(s) Abysmal - Wasted Potential You'll notice that the section where you get to click "yes" or "no" if you found the review helpful, every negative review is relentlessly clicked as if it were not helpful. I am of the opinion that people from this course are trolling this site trying to push out...

Review by Discobedience in course Gowen Park Disc Golf

1.00 star(s) The Gowen Park Experience The course is one of the only free courses to play in Maine and the only one in Southern Maine. Some of the holes are fun. Worth noting is hole 1, although you do have to shoot over the parking lot for the most direct route. Hole 7 is a picturesque hole, it plays just...

    Revo Bag Frame ReBuild

So the inserts on the revolution bag are kind of lacking, IMO. The discs on the top level just fall down on the lower level. Has anyone built a frame insert and have the dimensions of it worked out and documented? It would be easy enough to just make one - but why reinvent the wheel? Thanks!

Review by Discobedience in course Basket Case Links: The Good

3.00 star(s) Good, Bad, & Ugly There are some fun shots at this course. It's mostly short with a few very technical holes. 18 is a great shot over a gully back up towards the clubhouse, a stand out hole from what I remember. I play a lot of courses and this course has quite a few holes that I look forward to...

Review by Discobedience in course Acker's Acres - The Wicked

4.50 star(s) Dont miss Acres Acres One of Maine's best disc golf locations. They have two courses and both of them are fantastic. Upkeep is done on this course regularly always making for a great experience. The course owners Barb and Dave are nice as can be. There is a nice balance of long and short holes...

Review by Discobedience in course Sims Park Disc Golf

2.50 star(s) Scenic Letdown The front 9 of this course if very beautiful and moderately well laid out. I had a great time winding my way through trees, bushes, and forced shots. They were not incredibly original but offered some interesting lanes. There were some very picturesque holes and a great photo...

    Whiny Pros

I like seeing the pros completely choke. It reminds me that I'm not all that far away from being able to compete on that level. Most highlight shows or clips you see are perfect rounds, it helps keep it in perspective. It makes me want to go out there and keep tossing my Buzzz's in the middle of...

When is Par 3 no longer realistic?

A par 4 would IMO be either a distance issue, a reaching issue, or a balance between the two. As far as distance goes, I would say that in order to jump into par 4 land you would have to be up over 1000' in the open, and no significant downhill slope. I top level AM should most of the time end...

    Zippo hand warmer

I read on the reviews that if they are not getting hot enough for your liking - burn em a couple times start to finish to break in the heating element.
