Saturday, May 4th will be the day I am going to try and play. I expect I will be flying into IAH. I'm game for a local guide if schedules allow and I am able to squeeze a quick round in.
I tried to bump an old thread to get suggestions to this question but it was too old to respond in that thread. . I'm only going to be in town one day but would like to get a round in in early May, near the airport, and a great course. Any suggestions for those parameters?
Thanks for all...
I searched Discmania PD2 but did not come up with any reviews. If I missed the thread and this is a re-post, the re-post police can have at me so long as they link me to the review! :D
Who has thrown the C line PD2? How does it compare to the Xcaliber? What kind of distance are you...
4.50 star(s)
Arguably a top 5 course
This is THE course many people will talk about in the Kansas City area. I would have a hard time putting any of the others in the area above it. Many people will consider this a top 5 course period. The elevation change, variety of shots required and scoring variance...
IMO it actually is much better now. From about 1-4 o'clock on the disc it is a darker purple. But all in all it is a more uniform color.

Here is a pic of the disc

I tried to link the image on this page but using the [img] tags did not work.
Thanks in advance.
A quick question for the disc dyers of the forum. I have a sweet of Pro Firebird(CE) that was dyed before it was originally sold. You know the discs I am talking about, basically camouflage and hard to find even in the fairway. All I want to do is dye this a solid bright color to make it much...
Looks like it is going to be DeLa early on Sunday morning. If that happens to change it will likely be for Novato. I guess I will just have to make another trip to NorCal sooner than later!
Thanks Mark, I just booked the flights to SFO. The seminar I am coming up for is in San Fran so flying into San Jose would not have worked well with the agenda. Looks like I am going to plan on playing DeLa early on Oct. 11 if anyone is in the area and wanting to play then.
Sounds good. The Novato course does look long after checking it out on DGCR. What is course par on that course? Seeing there is 1000, 600, and 500 footer, regardless of elevation change I have to guess it plays more than 54.
It sounds like just playing DeLa and hanging out with some...
I may be in the San Fran/Bay area the weekend of October 10 for a seminar. I am planning to have that Sunday free after the seminar on Saturday. I would love some input from the Bay area disc golfers. Being so close and having not played in NorCal before, I am going to do my best to play...
I carry 21 discs, I would say 10-12 get used almost every round. Gotta have three stages of Teebird and Rocs beat to several stages as well.
1 Pro Firebird - old first run pro CE plastic
1 Star Xcalibur - more D for RHBH than the Firebird and forehands shots
1 Star Starfire - Spike hyzers in...
I have played 5+ years and many hundreds of rounds. By far, the best DG shoes I have had are the Goretex Merrell Chameleon. The thick rubber on the toe and lateral side of the foot does not shred like so many other shoes I have tried. I recently tried to reinvent the wheel and got a pair of...
For me, it is the Teebird hands down. I carry an 11x KC Champ Teebird, a CE Teebird-L and a 10x KC Teebird in my bag for all rounds. All max weight. I used to throw a couple XLs when I was new to the game. I have not thrown them in several years now. My Teebirds are my go to driver on...
1. Teebird 11x or CE - hands down IMO the best driver, period.
2. Firebird or Xcal - depending on the course
3. Star or Pro Destroyer - you can keep the Boss, I continually out drive other people on the card throwing Bosses with my Destroyers.
Also, depending on what part of the country I would...
I will be there, but I live here. Unfortunately not playing though. Can't close down my office for two full weekdays. If it was a Fri-Sun tourney I would be playing.
I definitely see overlap there. I have always been a Valkyrie fan(carrying a first and fourth run CE in my bag now) but don't throw them much any more. My preference is the Valkyrie, but the Beast will likely to any shot a Valk will. I will pick one of the two and stick with it.
