Course record
I know the course is tweaked each year. But what is the current record for Winthrop Gold? Sexton and Ricky are completely shredding it today. Too bad we all have to wait until tomorrow to watch this unbelievable round. I really wish it was live.
I would do the original proto-type QK that the PDGA rejected. I would also try some modified versions of the QuestAT Turbo Putter. For that matter, I would play around with most of QuestAT's molds. They had some awesome ideas.
The difficult thing with the GCC being a NT is that players are still going to likely have to choose between the GCC and the Memorial.
When the GCC was the cute little two day B-tier at Sunset park it was a great warm up on the way to the memorial. Even when it became a 3 day A-tier it was...
You can say that it was twisted on him. But John's quote is what put the gas on the fire.

Chuck,
I did not see that exact number of spectators Steve requires at the Pro tour but I think he wants around 4 to 5 thousand to come through the festival. Our goal in Utah is to get 5 thousand but that is going to take some serious work.
Thanks,
Rob
For the first two events, DGPT youtube channel was the only place that the stream was on. So those numbers were about 1,000 for each event, but the coverage was pretty choppy. Starting with the Majestic it has been harder to track now that it is on multiple outlets. But I still think each event...
I did feel like the broadcast yesterday was really good. There looked to be 1000 viewers if you combine all of the outlets. Some of the expectations have fallen short, but I do think that with the Udisc stats and multi card coverage, DGPT has pushed the dial forward in 2016.
Ron,
I know that Steve has been very thorough in his vetting of the Utah Open. He has visited the course a few times and has had several meetings with the TD. He also met with several of the touring pros that made it out in years past. There is list of requirements for added cash, spectators...
I just listened to it again and that is not what he said. He said that he was going to form this committee and they were going to meet today and decide an action. He said there was a possibility BW could play in the final, but there was going to be a disciplinary meeting.
I like that they put...
History is just repeating itself. This is a story published on the PDGA Site earlier this year. Disc golf is better for the changes made by the protests in the early 80’s. Disc Golf will be better for these protests happening now. I believe the Pro Tour is the future of professional disc golf...
I hope the Smashboxx podcast is about actual disc golf. Just think about how much time and energy has been spent by disc golfers the last week on on BW's suspension and McBeths protest. What if that same time and energy was spent picking up garbage at our local courses and introducing new...
The only Cam Todd suspension I remember happened at the 2004 Brett Hambrick Memorial. This is from memory, but I believe Cam verbally laid into the TD after the event. The PDGA handed down a suspension and had the TD's of the MSDGC (Jason Southwick/Steve Dodge) serve Cam with it prior to the...
I throw more light discs and blizzard plastic at Solitude than I do at any other course. They will really help on the uphill shots. The difficult X factor for Solitude is the wind. On really windy days I have to throw heavier discs. Enjoy your time at Soli. It is a gem that I am happy to be an...
My buddies and I go on a disc golf trip each year and Summer 2017 we were planning on flying in to Minneapolis hitting Blue Ribbon Pines and then driving North and spending the week at Highbidge. Since we are not real big into the rave scene, we probably should re-tool the trip and just play the...
I came here with the same question. I was really looking forward to hearing some thoughts on what the pros thought of the layout of Peter Pan changing the morning of the event.
