    Disc Finding Dog

One other thing is that i NEVER give my dog discs for toys. He will chew them and I don't want him thinking he can do that to a disc. Retrieving the disc itself is his reward.

    Disc Finding Dog

My dog is a pit/lab mix. I did train him specifically for this task. It would be best to have a scent trained dog breed i.e. pits and labs. They also have to be smart (this is where I leave the lab part out :). He has a command to start looking and he has been trained to be gentle and to drop...

    Disc Finding Dog

So I have a dog that finds discs. He can distinguish between the different plastics and he finds discs that no one would never find. He has become highly efficient at finding lost discs. He has found about 50 this year alone. Some guys have said I need to charge for his services but I disagree...

Review by thebeast175 in course Seviren Lang DGC

4.50 star(s) Possibly the best???? I need to go ahead and get my opinion out of the way.... this is the best course in the Louisville area. Now, let's review :) The pro pads are concrete with excellent signage. So far this year the grass has stayed mowed and the fairways have stayed clear (not bad for a...

Review by thebeast175 in course The Fun Farm

1.50 star(s) Won't be back There are concrete pads and signs for every hole. The first half of the course is wide open with some open field trees directing the shots. Most of the field shots give players with big arms the opportunity for deuces while leaving those with shorter ranges to make easy pars...

Review by thebeast175 in course Buffalo Trace Park - Old Layout

3.50 star(s) Surprised I must admit I was weary of this course when I stepped up to the first tee pad but this little course will surprise you. This course has a lot of character and really demands your respect. The first nine is a great place to build your score with short throws through really cool lanes...

Review by thebeast175 in course Meade Olin Park

3.00 star(s) Nice, but not great. I think that this is a course where you can go to settle in the basic shots of disc golf that you are going to need on just about every course. Although the holes become a RHBH repetition fest, you really have to concentrate on your basic technique the entire time or you...

2.00 star(s) Finally!!! I figured it out! First off, let me say that this course grows on you. Every hole has a unique feel to it and it will make or break your confidence. There are so many different shots that this course will make you a better player. I would say these 10 holes, collectivly, are the...

Review by thebeast175 in course Citronelle Municipal Park

3.50 star(s) Worth the Drive I really like this course. Most holes have three tees and all of them have maps painted onto the tee markers. The Baskets are in good condition. The set up is great and each hole is easy to find as long as you read the markers. There is a good mix of distances. If you are a...

Review by thebeast175 in course The Path

2.00 star(s) Needs A Path If you find the first tee (southside of the Church next to the road) then the navigation is pretty simple. The Baskets are brand new. There isn't a lot of room so the fact that they were able to get 9 holes with alternate tees was impressive. Most of the alt. tees do change the hole...

Review by thebeast175 in course The Tom Monroe DGC at Brahan Spring

3.00 star(s) Old but Classy There are several good things about this course 1. Tees are concrete and long enough for the holes 2. Signs are well marked with throwing options and OB's are labeled on each sign 3. There are arrows hung on tree to let you know which way to the next tee 4. Transitions are easy...
