Lehigh Valley Open Update!
check is 730-830 @ Jordan Creek.
Depending on # of players....we may/may not split field, everyone may play the same course at the same time on Saturday.
Player party is ~7 @ blue mountain Summit lodge now...this is new information. DG under the lights, horseshoes, quaids will be in full effect! Player party grub will include pulled pork sammichs, salads, veggies and other'picnic' items. Full bar will be open!!! Additional menu items can be ordered a la cart via their slopeside pub
Camping will be at the base near the tubing lodge....the valley lodgewill be open for facilities usage. Firerings will be provided for camp fire(s)

There is still room for you to play - we will be accepting walk up registrations on Saturday morning during registration/check in.

Thank you to the Laputka Law Office for their support of the Lehigh Valley Open. We had 76 golfers attack Jordan Creek, Little Lehigh Parkway and the courses at Blue Mt this past weekend. Winners include Nate Krahn, Richie Klinger, Brian Frederick, Bill Charron,Rick Sassaman, Tracy Gruber and Troy Jancsics.
On Sept 20, the pre-registration for the Codorus Autumn Open begins. Entries are 37 for all pro fields, 32 for advanced fields and 27 for every other field. You can register at www.mrdiscgolf.com/store/
Also keep an eye out for upcoming singles and doubles events in the final months of the year!

There is a lot of Mr. DiscGolf action coming up this weekend and in the coming weeks!

This weekend Bucks County plays host to 3 different events -
- For those lucky enough to get into the limited 72 player field at Nockamixon, the Hoo Doo 2 takes place on Saturday October 1.

- Also taking place on Saturday October 1 and with room to still get in, is the Hoo Doo Overflow. This event is being held at Tinicum.

- Hoo Doo doubles is going to stay at Nockamixon on Sunday October 2. The AM side of the event is full

The Cordorus Autum Open is scheduled for Saturday October 15th.
This event will take place at Cordorus which is home to 54 different holes of disc golf action!

Weekend Update!

The Hoo Doo Overflow event taking place at Tinicum State Park on Saturday still has room available!
Half the field is currently pre-reg'ed and on the list, which means we will be able to take up to 45 walk
up entries the morning of. Players can register/check-in between 7:30am and 8:30am. Players meeting
is scheduled for 8:45 and tee off will be at 9:00am sharp! If you have the itch for disc golf and didn't make it
into the Hoo Doo 2 at Nockamixon, this is your chance to get out and throw!

Another awesome weekend of disc golf is in the books. Our friends in NY/NJ, the Skylands area had their A Tier, Animalfest and John Biscoe Hawk Hollow Open in VA attracted a slew of regional pros. Word on the street is that they both were great successes!
MrDiscGolf traveled to the lovely Hanover, PA and hosted the Codorus Autumn Open. Golfers from Utah, Wisconsin, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and Pennsylvania comprised the 93 enthusiasts in attendance. Pro Men was decided by a playoff with Phil Denhart taking the win over Linc Morgan. Pro Ladies was won by Alanna Poole of Indiana, PA while the Am ladies was captured by Jenn Cable. Advanced men was championed by Wayman Peet and the Intermediate Mens winner also decided by a playoff was Josh Mertz over Matt Evans. Pro Masters was taken down by Dan Becker and Am Masters Jeff Ross, and Am Grandmasters by Joey Desimone. Lastly, Mark Fox prevailed in the recreational division.
Three young men who could have comprised the junior division all played in the rec division and were each rewarded with an additional prize disc along with their player pack! And as always, all am ladies divisions were paid out!
A MrDiscGolf ritual raffle was stacked! Donations from the Whispering Falls DGC provided two prizes, an entry into the Hyzerflip Open on Nov 5, a pair of Keens, and an Innova Skillshot were donated by Mike Solt. Congrats to the Keen's winner, Jay Gobrecht; the basket winner, Anthony Caito; and the tournament entry, Ken Dunbar!
The participants were not only challenged by a 2 round of 20-hole layout but the immense winds that Mother Nature provided. Many golfers commented that they had their discs fly like they've never seen before. Golfers joked that they were unprepared for wind. After 9 hours of being on the course, golfers departed near dusk and the course, after humbly taming many a golfer, prepared for a two week nap, until their North vs. South competition on the 29th of October.
On Sunday, MrDiscGolf trekked to Kennedy Park in Forest City, PA to take part in their Dead Leave Doubles. Sixteen teams came out and competed on the course with 7 temporary holes and after two rounds, Skip and Jay Hummel of Hughesville championed the Pro division. Matt Evans and Justin Seersma prevailed in the advanced division while Devin Machalick & Greg Martens took down the Intermediate division.
The greatest part of the event was that over $300 was raised so they can now purchase a 12th basket!!

I'm helping Mike with the Vineland Open (with it being my home course and all).
Round 1 will be all Yellows with an alternate hole instead of hole #12 (yellow tee is still flooded out).
Round 2 will be a mixed layout that will finish with the super long par 5 hole #18 safari layout (18 tee to the Pavilion).

I will have an exact round 2 layout tomorrow morning.

The 2012 Mr.DiscGolf PDGA event tour has come to an end.
After a total of 14 PDGA sanctioned events, with fields ranging from 58-153 players, the last event was played - The TALKdg Vineland Open played in South Vineland, NJ.

Camp Sankanac…spring golf in late fall.

This past Saturday 86 golfers, 43 doubles teams took on the beautiful course at Camp Sankanac in Spring City, PA. The weather was pristine with a brisk 40 degrees at 8am…and warming up to 64 degrees around noon. Open winners were Nate Krahn & Steve Braud, Advanced winners were Jeff Knittle & Biggz Kuklentz, Intermediate winners were Alan Fanus & Rob Weinard and Mixed winners were Jacob Rauch & Hannah Leatherman.

If you are unhappy about missing this great Mr.DiscGolf doubles event, don't worry, there are still a few left over the course of the next few weeks. The next event is the Hickory Run Pre-Hibernation Doubles THIS Saturday December 3rd! With 19 holes at HR, there will be a limit of 38 total team - right now, more than 2/3 of those spots are gone!! Don't delay, get your pre-reg in ASAP.
