I had a 360 lumbar fusion at L5/S1. They went in through the front AND back for procedure.
At first I thought it would be a year before I could throw again. The discomfort, especially in the front was tremendous. But walking every day and following DR and PT instructions have made for great progress. I still have fire nerves in the legs when I wake up but a little moving around curbs that.
The Fluid Warden just came out a couple weeks ago and I had to get one, cuz well, yeah.
I started banging chains with it a little in the back yard about 5 days ago. 10-15 footers.
Only in the last 2 days, I've put 3 light throws into it and feel like the lumbar fusion really made my lower back more stable. I got about 200' on half power with the new fluid warden. I'm not gonna go out and try to launch any destroyers just yet but I'm pretty impressed how 3 weeks of recovery has made the progress it has. The reach back and pull through is smooth and the snap is still there.
I think i'll be back out playing 18 holes within an month or 6 weeks.
BUT - I would certainly not push it and will continue to talk to my PT about my limits.
