Adding discs midround

I was at a tournament a few weeks ago. A couple of guys I was playing with said that you cannot throw some one else's disc or get another mid-round. I was unable to find it in the rulebook so I just left it alone. My understanding is that a long as it is uniquely marked it is legal. Is this (or anything like it) a rule?

Another fake rule. You can borrow discs, buy them during the round or get them from the car. No limit. You should let players in your group know your "unique mark" if it happens to be someone else's name.

No limit on the number of discs. That's another fake rule I was addressing.
