Going to Asheville in July. Wife likes to play but is not real good, so Black Mountain is my pick for the course beauty, degree of difficulty for her, and all the shops and eateries in Black Mountain. Hope I've picked well.

Not much Beauty at Black Mountain. There is a good Indian rest. there and of course Pisgah down the road. They usually have some go music at the brewery too. I prefer Mar Hill if I have the time but it's a tough walk and course. Played Richmond yesterday and it was in the best shape I ever seen it escpecially the astro turf pads. Just a little redundant for me with the across valley shots.

Hit the Town Pump in Black Mountain. Always had good beer & live music. At least moons ago when I was in college!
Well, I live on the prairie of SW Louisiana which is flat, coastal, and swampy. Highest elevation around here is the WM trash dump hills. :>)
