Bardu's Bag 2019

I played a bunch over the weekend after my midterms were over. It felt good and I played really well surprisingly, considering how sparingly I'd played over the last 8 weeks. As usual, the GStar Sidewinder was my workhorse. It was so predictable, I have a ton of trust in it. I also felt like I was throwing further than I had been lately.

The water level has finally gone down enough that I was able to play my first round at Big Sioux Rec Area since last fall.

Might be a big flood on whole Misouri next year, I can tell you at Ohae Dam it is 3 feet from really really bad.

I played 36 holes yesterday, it was 50 degrees and beautiful. Today it is snowing. I experimented with a more minimalistic bag. I wanted to see how I played without the Harp, which I only use for short FH approaches. So far, so good. I also played with a taped finger (blister) for the first time. It was a good solution, but I did have some slipping issues and probably didn't have the overall touch that I normally would.

I played a bunch more fall disc golf this weekend. I used the bag listed above. The Nikko Wizards were really putting well.

Got to play at Hansen in New Brighton on Friday. I played with a couple of my friend's backups: a Soft Eclipse Ion and a Pro Destroyer. My game didn't seem to suffer much.

I always like doing rounds like that, takes some pressure off and lets ya just have some fun.

What do the nikko wizards feel like. Same mold? Different plastic?

I've heard the mold that is used is the older Wizard mold where there is less plastic in the flight plate and more in the rim. I can't tell the difference. I will say that this run molded up particularly well though, my favorite Wizards in the last couple years. I only use mine as putters. I'm hoping they age well. As far as plastic goes, mine are a pair of the reds from 2019 designated as firm. They are a lot less stiff than the Firm Wizards I have to compare with. The Nikkos are more of a super soft in flex, but still with a nice stiffness.
