Clothing, Shoes, & Personal Hygiene

I personally sweat a lot when I sleep, so I always shower first thing in the morning. I also wear undershirts. If I don't, then sweat always leaks through whatever I'm wearing, and that's just embarrassing at work. The only deodorant that I've found that works all day is Degree. Avoid caffeine as well, as it makes you sweat even more.

Try sprinkling some baking soda in your shoes. Let it sit for while before wearing them again.

Change laundry detergents. I had the same issue when I started DGing. Started wearing Under Armor under shirts and boxer briefs. Still had the issue just not as bad, switch detergents that I wash my DG gear it and even without the Under Armor the smells went away. Only thing I can figure, I wear the same gear everytime I play washed between rounds, and the old detergent wasn't getting all the funk out and heat and sweat would bring it back around. Worth a shot.

Another thing for the smell in your shoes, used dryer sheets. My aunt told me that and I looked at her like she was a dumb@$$ but it works. My wife puts the used sheets in my shoes everytime she does laundry. Even my sweaty, water soaked DG shoes.

Nobody has asked if you are a big dude...if so make sure the nooks and crannies are taken care of.

Also, the guys I played with in a tourney says if you don't use deodorant for a month or so you never have to use it again. I'm not going to try this, but it might work.

Hmm...that might explain something that happened to me. I was using a new deodorant a few years ago, and my pits broke out in a rash, very painful. I obviously stopped using the new deodorant, but due to the breakout I wasn't going to just immediately start using my old brand, so I ceased it altogether while I healed (seriously, my pits were bright red for like a week!). Oddly, after that 7-10 days of not using deodorant, I was giving off no BO (trust me, 'cause my wife is the first to tell me I stink when I do). Even after I seemed to have healed, I decided to experiment and see how long this BO-free condition would continue, and it lasted maybe another week or so, but then the smell came back (trust me, 'cause my wife was the first to tell me).

If all advice here fails, definitely check with a doctor, maybe even see a specialist like an endocrinologist (it's probably not hormones, but may be metabolic). You might just need a course of antibiotics, or you might have hyperhidrosis if it's a sweat thing.

I feel like this is a survey for a marketing company or something.

anyway, bro, all i know is how to stop stinky shoes.

my wife got 'assured' medicated foot powder,?, (a knock off of 'gold bond', i think). arm n hammer probably works too.

just dump it in your shoes over night and your good.
