Howdy there, traveling around this area next week, was looking for a course to bag.

Brent Hambrick is right there, but would anyone recommend something else?

A little worried about recent rains and minor flooding if that changes an opinion, I believe the weekend rain will be stopping Monday morning (I may play that afternoon, or possibly Tuesday morning, maybe both!)

Thanks.

Hoover (Brent Hambrick) is great. It's been dry overall lately, it should be fine. It has 27 holes and has a lot of variety.

There are lots of other good spots, and you'll get a lot of recommendations. Here are my candidates:
  • Blendon Woods. Easy short course if you want to bag something. Pretty fun for putter only rounds.
  • Simsbury (Pickerington). It's a beautiful course with some nice elevation. Park-like, not crazy wooded.
  • Alum Creek. Tough course, lots of technical holes. Water comes into play. Not far from Hoover.
  • Kinslow (Sunbury). Very fun, less manicured than Hoover or Simsbury.
