Critique My Progression

Good progress, as HUB said planting open, not getting elbow forward. Really need to turn the front side further back as you plant, see Door Frame Drills.

You're planting too open.
Rounding.
Not getting your elbow in front of your shoulder.
Not generating power from the hips.

I'd strongly suggest working through as many of Sidewinder22's & Rhatton1's drills as possible.

I am working on staying closed ATM. It's a hard habit to break considering my old days as a pitcher, where you want to open towards the plate when you plant your foot.

If I'm not generating power from the hips, why are my hips so sore the day after a round? Improper technique?
Planting open jams the front hip. That's fine for overhand delivery as it catapults momentum over it vertically. On a sidearm delivery the front foot should be more closed to post against it and catapult momentum on horizontal plane. A backhand has to be even more closed than sidearm as the levers are working different.
