Ludington, MI is where I would go..

Not exactly SouthEast US...but that's a good one too. Great Lake Michigan beachfront and tons of discing options. Leviathan, the Mason County trio, and Flip City not far away...not to mention about a dozen other great courses within a few hours.

If it's all about location, I'd go with Augusta too.

If you ever come to Texas you will have to visit the new Houck courses at Selah Ranch in Talco TX.
