Hello!

I have played now for almost 1 year and im not really gaining much distance, im getting more consistent in release point and angle. But consistent distance seems to be stuck around 360-380ft.

I think im leaning a bit far back on the reachback instead of rotating but have a hard time identifying changes i need to make, any clear faults that i can fix?

Hi JS,

FYI you will probably get more input posting it on this subforum:

In any case in the meantime:

You are getting a dramatic early rise starting low and then popping up high in the release. You want the opposite getting more "compressed" through the swing and "decompressing" in the follow through.

1. Notice how the whole body moves high-low-high in e.g., Steve Brinster here. Yours is going low-high-high. You are basically fighting gravity and Brinster is using it as his ally.

2. You are leaning waaaaay far back away from the target rather than coiling up through your core and into the rear hip in balance.

3.Your rear foot is pointed too far back to get the correct lateral leverage and contributing to your need to lean way back to keep from falling down.

I would spend time working on shifting off the rear side and getting more comfortable "dropping" your whole body off the rear leg into the plant.
