Evolution of DG

I believe you underestimate the future, sunkissd. In that time where minds meld with materials, discs and courses will not be necessary. You and your friends will be able to simultaneously imagine the course, throw your shots, and observe not only your own results but also those of your fellow competitors. You will choose whether to be a spectator or a competitor. You'll compete against folks who are in close physical proximity and just as easily with those who reside in the far corners of the galaxy. One of the few rules will be that our imaginary discs must obey natural laws; that means you won't be able to visualize and execute "impossible" shots. If you can visualize a natural line, you'll be able to hit it. Gusts of wind and other course "noise" will be created by a random generator with conditions determined at the start of the round.

As I suspect you are aware, a duplicate of you is playing disc golf right now in another universe where up is down, light is dark, you must pass through trees to get to the basket and the open space is a barrier to disc flight. You must miss your putt to score; doing that is extremely difficult. In that universe, the Groove and Wolf are the workhorse discs of the top pros.

Enjoy. Shoot 'em up!

Note the post times - enough said ;) (BTW - is that reader's time or posters time?)

But I'l play along - in the future we will have to control the disc with our minds because our bodies will be just a pile of blubber that can barely move because getting exercise and going outside will be declared unhealthy and unsafe for all sorts of reasons.

There is no such thing as the future or present because everything we expierence has already happened in the past.

Cause man, that's like....your opinion OK?

And more on point with the OP. Eleventy-fifty billion light years away, in future past.

Or there is only present because we were created just now, already full of freshly minted memories.
