I created a Private DGCR league. Join using the code "discjunkies". The league is open to the first 250 people. I will award(or punish....with great power comes great responsibility) the Commish Duties to a random DGCRer that goes to our Facebook page and shares our promo poster. The league is set to have up to 15 tournaments.

We are working to give away prizes for each event this year. We are working to schedule sponsors now. Currently, the fantasy winner of The Memorial will win a Grip EQ bag. 2nd place will receive $50 to Volo Disc Sports.

I may have missed it, but I'm not completely following the impetus for this suggestion - the site will work the same regardless of the URL you visit (http://www.playfantasydiscgolf.com, http://playfantasydiscgolf.com, or even http://fantasydiscgolf.com). We're still working out a few redirection issues, but everything ought to work right.

I stand by it. Of course, we also reserve the right to take your feedback and laugh at it when you're not looking. That's typically not in our feedback-processing workflow, though.

DGCR Commish

That's being said, would someone actually like to commish the private DGCR league I set up? It's up to you guys to play for prizes or not. Someone could run a different prize league if they had dedicated Fantasy Disc Golfers The commish will have to decide tournaments, salary caps, divisions, etc.

More updates are coming out. Set up a league for your regional tour!

Anybody in the Lewisville TX area able to help us with near weekly updates highlighting the sports up-and-comers?
If this gains traction, essentially we'd like to do a quick highlight of the weekends events. Nothing fancy, just need some user contribution and we'll pay in discs!

not sure what you mean? As far as the Open guys.
Bucky Garrett is the only one that I can think of that is really good and getting better but he has a new baby so I don't know what kind of time he is putting into DG. His last few events have been up and down.
Donald Ellsworth "The Giggler" has been a good player for a log time but never quite gets over 1000 rate. You can allways bet on him to cash.
Miles Seaborn had a huge jump when he went pro around 07 and has stayed a consistent golfer with few big wins.
Rober McCall makes the trip into DFW for tournaments and seems to do well.
Kenny G does well in Lewisville on his home courses and ok away from home. I think he missed cash at the memoiral last year by 1 stroke due to a poor first round.
Nolan Grider is good with a load of natural talent. Disc Golf is probably a low priority for him, doubt he practices and he rarely plays tournamnets. If he were on tour full time, he would be one of the best in the game.

No can do. I think I have a clip or two of Bucky from a trip to Selah Ranch. Your best bet would be to see if Cool Daddy Slick Breeze would let you use his footage, He has a year or two of Dynamic Disc lead card tournament DVDs for sale.

I'm looking now to see what footage I do have and of who.

We'd like to offer highlight on Mondays so all our FDG users can see more tournaments and more golfers.

For example, I don't know a lot of pros in California or Florida, but if I saw some video of top cards at a few A or B tiers, it could help in my fantasy picks.

We'll pay for videos in discs. Check our schedule and let's see if we can get this off the ground. If you know someone in the area, all I really need are a dozen or so decent shots to mash up the weekends tournaments. If we do three tournaments a weekend, good pros may get some deserved recognition.

if you don't have a volunteer soon i will do it.

dear people of dgcr, if i am made the commish i will revamp this from a free league to a one disc betting league like last season (this means that everyone that doesn't want in on the action gets booted out). if you want to keep it free and fun, volunteer soon. i'm actually guessing that most of you want it to be a one disc league anyway. and i'm also guessing that we'd have closer to 40 people this year as opposed to the 16 of last year now that fantasy disc golf has grown so much.

fantasydiscgolf, if you can give it until friday to give the dgcr folks a chance to volunteer. i've never ran anything before so i know i'll stink at it. this gives them a chance to prevent all that is brall from confusing everyone

p.s. i wont be offended if any of you decide to jump in. in fact, i'll be relieved. so come and relieve brall from messing all of this up.

p.s.s. i'm on dgcr about once every two days now (real life is crazy atm), so im not up to date on anything. i'll be back to this thread prob tomorrow or thursday to see what you all decided.

very difficult to do, I was going to go take pictures at the Dynamic Discs tournament at Towne Lake next weekend, buy you want video. I'm not a big fan of doing video with my 60D.
