Form Critique/Help

Hello DGCR family,

Looking for help with my form. I'm able to throw about 450 with a good backhand but results are pretty inconsistent and I think I'm capable of throwing much further. I think my biggest issue may be timing. My reach back is completed early (i.e. before my plant foot reaches the ground). Another thing someone has mentioned to me is that I rotate out of my brace quickly and therefore don't take full advantage of the brace.

Wondering if anyone has any other thoughts about the form as well as any drills that could help me achieve more consistency. Below is a youtube video with a rear view. I'll try to record some face on videos soon as well (weather dependent).

Thanks!

Looks pretty good for the most part. I think your front foot is leading your stride/leaning back away from target, instead of your butt leading in balance, and your left arm is dragging behind your plant/weightshift which will lead to inconsistency, although it might throw you off at first.

Thanks sidewinder22! I did notice my left arm just kind of seems along for the ride. I never really think about what I'm doing with it, but will definitely play around with it while doing field work.

I posted a couple of face on videos today (apologize for the quality). I think you're right about my lead leg. Part two of your video will really help me syn up the plant with my reach back as well as help me not actually reach back, but just leave the disc in place and move my body forward.

Any thoughts with the face-on view? Looks like I could also keep my reach back a little lower

Thanks again!

Rear foot is too backward, so your knee is behind your ankle and drive off your heel, instead of the instep driving the heel/ankle/knee/hip.
