> Think about planting your foot while the hammer is on the way upward

No part of that makes sense to me. Its heavy, There is no way to attempt to put my weight forward while its still moving upward.

> let go, let it levitate and pull you, or pause slightly at the top of the swing and let gravity do the work on the way down

Im not sure how to reconcile this, with what was stated in the previous post.

> . Right now you are letting the hammer start to fall on its own before planting so it ends up loose and you only can get the "ball on a string" feeling towards the very end of your swing

Might be caught up in too many different ways to think about it. There's various ways to get to the correct top of the backswing position.

Either way you want to look at it, your shoulders/hips need to be more turned back when you plant. Lots of different thoughts to help make that happen.

So, I realized today, Ive been attempting to fix my backhand for four years, and have done nothing but make it worse. I went from being able to throw 400 all day, to maybe? 330.

There is not a single recorded throw of mine, in 4 years, where my rear leg moves forward/laterally. Not One.

There has got to be some way, to force my leg to move in the correct direction. Ive thrown hammers, sledge hammers, medicine balls, kettle bells. Ive bought pro pulls, nets, heavy discs.

Ive watched every single seabas22 and loopghost video.

How the hell do you make this god damn foot move the proper direction.

So, I've seen all those video over and over. None of them have made my rear door move forward.

I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be getting from them.

Not trying to be rude, I just really don't know.

The door frame doesn't make sense, since I have nothing to hold onto in a throw.

The foot drag one doesnt help my foot drag forward, it just tells me it should drag forward.

'the move' doesn't say how to do anything, and the sit thing is what I'm attempting to do.

Most of these have been posted in this thread already, so I'm not understanding.

From side view looks like you are driving too late off your rear foot after your front foot has planted. That will cause your rear foot to spin out and reverse back away and tip your upper body over top, and push front knee over ankle. You want your lower body to accelerate faster underneath the upper body going into the plant. Your spine tilt should change with the front foot crossing over the rear foot. Just stand in athletic position and swing the front foot back and forth, your spine must change tilt to maintain dynamic balance.

Seabass.

Would it makes sense, to just attempt some throws out of that `step - back` drill from the drift video?

You are in too much anterior pelvic tilt, sticking butt out, or S-posture and then "early extending or humping the goat", instead of "staying down and rotating". Note how your rear knee extends and backs away while mine starts extended and goes into flexion.
Also looks like you are putting a lot of effort into it, instead of more effortless toss.

Need to engage your core more, abs and glutes to tuck your pelvis underneath - navel to belt buckle. And shift your weight pressure/balance more into front heel instead of toes, note how far over your toes you start. Note how I'm more inside/heel.

OK,

so I attempted to focus on not humping the goat, getting that quick little xstep, and `tucking my tail`. I *felt* like these got progressively better, but I still think im extending early somehow, since my reach back is a hyzer, but I come into the pocket flat.

to stop humping the goat, i basically tried to do that wall drill with my ass for 50 throws. I then did your xstep video, where im kicking the ball.

Your balance is leaning too far over your rear toes and falling over to the left tee side. Slow down and let your rear heel come down on the ground so you can stand more upright balanced inside posture. I also think your weight pressure is going too much into your front toes instead of shifting to the heel and pivoting on heel.

Your rear arm is flying out around like a hook punch, instead of squeezing your body inside front foot/posture, and coming straight under more like an uppercut or bowling.

Also, ignore the x steps, i can see how when i try to xstep, it all goes back to spinning.

I have finally managed to completely lose any ability. I couldn't touch 400 feet in 3 throws at this point. And if the disc hits my left shoulder again I'm chopping it off.

Still not able to figure out how to shift my weight. So everything spins and has zero power. Started over with a week of 1 leg. Week of hammers, and then week of windmills.

No change.

I *think* ive started to get shifting from behind.

Ive figured out, if I just stop trying.. I can get form that looks like this.

I can say, I can take a roc and do this, and get to 300 with 0 effort. Problem ive noticed is, anything faster, or with more effort, just ends up losing that feeling up my back leg mushing into my front.

I do notice my arm angle in the pocket is more acute than I would prefer, but honestly, im kind of happy to just see my back leg move targetward.
