Hello Course Reviewers, and Happy Independence Day.

We'd like to introduce Golf is Dead, a disc golf lifestyle company with a simple goal - to express disc golf. Boldness, Love, and Style are our weapons of choice.

We aren't about hating Golf - golf is dear to our hearts; it's the game that we all play. However we feel that Disc Golf is the golf of the future, and it's time to bury the past and move forward. To say it simply and boldly, Golf is Dead. Long live Disc Golf.

We'll be bringing the disc golf community thoughtful designs and quality materials that express our sport. Disc Golf is a proud, unique lifestyle and we are not afraid to be loud about it.

No. I'm the Creative Director for Golf is Dead. This is a new small company with its own goals, voice, and aesthetic.

I play ball golf on the regular. Have you seen the purse for a ball golf event vs a disc golf event? This just seems like a few guys who like to bag on disc golf want to push the sport even further from the founding roots of our sport... Dumb.

 

[Golf is Dead]

We want to force a rethink of what Golf is. It's embodied in traditional golf as well as in disc golf. The underlying game of Golf is not about sticks nor is it about chains. It's calculated shot-making across green space.

Traditional golf in recent years has been failing to grow that game significantly, while Disc Golf has taken the game of Golf to a new level which respects and acknowledges our natural world and the economic situation we face. By stating Golf is Dead, which of course it literally is not and never will be, we're making a statement about where Golf is headed.

Traditional Golf has had the trappings of country clubs held over their heads in mockery for eons. We think their skin is thick enough for Golf is Dead. And if they'd like to appreciate Golf in the form that Disc Golf provides, they're in for a treat and a rediscovery of their game.
