How accurate is your putting from 25ft?

In casual play I expect to be about 70-80% from 25' but not as consistent lately. I have had plenty of tournaments though where I putt 15-20% from 22-33'. My last tournament I made only 4 or 5 putts from 25 or out in the entire 4 rounds. Hopefully that changes this weekend. I need to get my mind right.

I find the difference for me is mental. Outside of a tournament I don't far too much if I make it and then expect them all to go in. In tournaments I want them all but begin to expect none to go in. I even opened my last tournament with a 60' putt, then two 30' putts. I barely made another putt outside of 20' the rest of the weekend.

I'm somewhere between 50- 65 percent with little to no wind. Not great, but not horrible.

Last night in my basement from 25 ft. I was 91/100. So not too bad. During a round though when I don't have my putting motion in check all the time, I would say more like 75%.

the difficult part is translating the awesome putting practice numbers into actual play. sure you can do the lay a mini down and take 10-30 seconds in between each putt from different lies but you still eventually get into a groove practicing like that.

maybe you take a putt every 5-20min? mimic the actual time in between each putt(s) in actual round play? like you wake up walk into the garage/backyard/basement take two putts, take a shower get dressed, take two putts, eat breakfast take two putts? :D

Closest thing I do to this (in the summer, that is) is to setup my fieldwork so that I can putt out each shot. This gives me a variety of looks and breaks up the fieldwork. It also validates whether those fieldwork shots were within range to nail the putt.

Just so happens my sis got me a "Disc Master" basket from Wally world or what have you this past X-mas. I already have a practice basket in the yard, so I have this one in the house. Now every time I cross the linoleum/carpet threshold I have to make one off center pole. It's 20'+ and I think the vast improvement in my confidence and success when putting lately has come directly from having to make a putt just so I can get to the bathroom for instance, or make coffee or leave the house, etc....

...honey knocking at the door- "Hold on a second, I gotta make a putt."

husband and wife's eyes lock together while painting a cabinet....

husband runs to basement takes two putts....

while resuming painting the cabinet wife accidentally hits husband with a little paint splatter.... wipes it off and they cloyingly lock eyes again...

husband runs to basement takes two putts....

^it can be a joint INNOVA and VIAGRA commercial!

I feel I can hit anything from about 7 paces from the basket or less, or about 21-22'. 25' is where it starts to get iffy with me.

I was on a conference when reading this, good thing I was on mute. Actually made me lol.

I can miss any put - no matter how close or far away I am from the basket.

I try to practice when it's windy... been tracking stats lately.

My putting from 25' is about to be major accurate. Finally ordered myself a practice basket. Innovate Discatcher Sport.

Tried this today, 67/100 from 25 feet. I'm yet to play in a tournament, but I'd guess I'll be rated around 880.

I think I figured out a major part of my problem in the last few months. My soft Envy is around 165 grams. I have a heavier Proton that I had taken out of my bag when I got the soft. I bought it used so I never knew how much heavier it was. I also recently picked up a 176 GL Pure. I took all 3 out today to my local 9 hole course. I was probably 75-80% accurate from 25-30' with the P Envy and Pure, but still missed most of my putts with the soft Envy. The lower weight really throws me off. I hate to take out my beloved soft for the harder plastic, but I think I'm back to the P Envy for putting again.

Not Very.

I put well from <5'-10', 15' I'm 75%, 20' 66%, 25' 50%. That's real improvement from 6 months ago, but a fulfilling revelation I got a long way to go

we did another session of 100putts from 20 and 25ft tonight (after a round at my friends awesome 9 hole back yard course) and I got 83% and 85%.

Its fun to actually get feedback from others who'll watch you putt and still might have something useful to offer even if you had a great putting session.

The straddle putting rounds were the sketchy ones. I was barely over 70% for both 20ft and 25ft. At least everyone had to do it though...

the two open players putting percentages? 95% and 97% on everything... yikes! thats the difference between an innova sponsored pro and a newbie.
