Most consistant long thrower?

Yeah but i have never seen a 360 FH :)

i dont even wanna try. i bet id hurt myself haha. i wouldve like to see that flight tho. and i wouldve liked him to spend more time on his grip.

You guys all know I'm on the Wiggins Jr. train,

I think he's probably one of the top 4 most consistent big arms in the PDGA. Not only in terms of max distance, but in terms of using his distance in golf. On the golf course, shots that even big arms use drivers on, he throws rocs. 300 to 340, given the line and height requirements he's going to throw a putter. His distance helps him become a better player because he uses his form to power mids and putters to lessen skips and have pin point accuracy at those distances. Also, when safe plays are needed, he can hyzer bomb pretty much any hole within 450. And we're talking huuuuuge hyzers that don't skip lol.

Getting a chance to kinda learn from him the past few years has proved the most valuable key to me being a better player.

I've seen Christian Sandstrom throw (escorted his group at the Worlds mixed doubles event at Pinto Lake for a while), and I have to say I've never seen as much raw force on a disc as that guy is able to produce. Extremely athletic. He also has a killer 360 that gives him an edge up on other distance throwers. Avery is obviously up there, and can compete with the best on any given day.

But I'd say give GG a couple more years (he's still just a kid) and he might jump to the very top. He has a lot of room to grow, so watch out!

how the hell would a 360 on a forehand help anything?

I haven't thrown one yet so i just guess. A 360 adds more power. Ville Piippo said it is difficult to get enough height for max D competition FH. So if you did a weight back release high up in the air, you can offset lost power from the lack of proper weight shift with the 360 to a degree and get the disc high up. That could work for escape shots as well if you need to throw over obstacles. Risky proposition, but if there's no other way and you are trailing with too few holes left to play and are ahead of the people behind you...

I have seen Philo Braithwate play on several occasions, and it looks like he is putting the disc way out there without hardly any visible effort. Has anyone seen him actually try and bust one out there for long distance? I am curious to know how far this dude could actually throw if he really came out of it his shoes on one.

I know someone like that. Skippy can throw over 600 with an xcal but cant putt from 10

I haven't watched Philo throw D. I recall the first time I played with him he threw an Orc 100' farther than my Wraith tho.

Avery Jenkins was telling me about some guy he met (I think he said in Finland) who used to be an Olympics competitor in the Javelin throw. Apparently, the guy has the same kind of throwing motion as for a javelin, and just rips the hell out of the disc. Sounds like fun, but I doubt most people could perform that kind of motion without great skill, training, and innate athletic ability.

I don't think he was ever good enough to be an Olympic level thrower, but Ville Piippo was a javelin thrower and from what I've seen on lcgm8's videos he can throw a low line drive forehand to at least 450' with barely an effort. It looks like a control shot when he does it on the videos.

EDIT: Like so.

its funny how ville seems to stumble after throwing, but if you look up javelin throws, everyone stumbles after throwing javelins

This is really good stuff, especially from 3min on about posture and alignment.

Ultimate Rob is a beast...200 meters! Reminds me of Katchz footwork with GG arm.
