New course in Asheville NC?

So I'm moving to Asheville this summer and I figured I would do a bit of research on the parks and rec department.

Looks like at the Azalea Park Complex in East Asheville, there is a disc golf course proposed/being built or completed.

Can anyone in the area confirm the status of the new course in this park?

If it's built or ready soon, I will be 2 miles from a DG course!!!:thmbup:

Any word on any new Asheville courses, I routinely visit but just wondered. I've played all local except Mars Hill as of 2013.

There's no course scheduled for Azalea Park.

There is a new course going in on the west side of town at the Buncombe County Sports Complex. It should be a pretty solid course... I am designing it. This course will be open by June.

There are also 9 new holes in the works for Lake Julian. We're waiting on a few final approvals.
